Nissan did a great job on this latest Nismo, nicely done performance upgrades - GTR brakes impressive, shifter re-do worked, damping changed - and keeping the heritage analog center cluster, all proper JDM.

But, I still disagree on the hood badge. Maybe I'm leaning more on the family line, the hamburger should stay as-is, Datsun then Nissan.

Beautiful. But I love the Z badge.

100% in agreement with him... having own the performance version and then the AT Nismo, I agree with his assessment.

When I first saw the Z hamburger badge I thought it was cool and I wanted one. But then after looking at it closer I prefer to have the manufacturer name up front, leave the Z logos to the sides and rear, and wheels. You don't need Z all over the place, lol. Datsun would be cool but Nissan will do.

I know this feeling, even in just a mildly prepped Performance MT, it's not all about straight line speed. Great chassis!

Is the NISMO Manual the Track-Day Z?

This thing is in its element when pushed to the limit on a road course. We were impressed by how planted, balanced, and predictable the Z feels when driven hard. Its steering is heavy but accurate, and the car is easy to place. The chassis tolerates an aggressive driving style and remains composed through quick transitions. Other editors found it easy to settle into a rhythm on the handling course, with enough grip and stability to inspire confidence.
