Was wondering if anyone has done this service yet and the average cost for the service (if you didn't do the job yourself). I'm still running the factory fluid and seeing how disgusting the factory LSD fluid was after changing it I'm looking at the trans fluid next, especially since I occasionally track the car.

Don't know intervals on this one, but...
DIY AT service, technically a "drain and fill" doesn't drain all the fluid. I think about half. Still good to do, but shouldn't be substituted for full flush based on factory intervals. With the full flush they hook the car (running) up to something that pressurizes the system and possibly 'actuates stuff' to make sure all the fluid is pushed out. This is another one where a shifty shop can jack you, as they'll do a drain and fill and charge for a full flush. Local Nissan dealership's website shows "Call us" by the price. Guessing it's at least a few hundred bucks.

I got a quote from a local trusted performance shop, and I believe they're also a Nissan certified shop. The labor is $700 which also includes replacing the pan and filter. This shop is a little pricey but they don't mess around. The owner is anal about the work and he doesn't hire bozos. I was just curious about other experiences. To me the transmission is quite important so the price tag seems reasonable.

With what little I know, $700 seems fair.

Speaking with a guy here that was a service manager at a GM dealership, a full AT flush is pretty involved, and was $500 to $1,400 a couple of years ago depending on the transmission (some needed pretty expensive fluid).
~10 quarts of fluid, pan and maybe other parts depending on make/model. And the kicker (right or wrong), that dealerships have gone nuts with labor rates, which has trickled down to independent shops a bit.

Based on my owner's manual (2024) for Standard Maintenance (not "Severe") AT fluid change is not specified throughout the maintenance schedule. However "Inspection" of "Automatic transmission fluid" is spec'd at all 10K/Yearly intervals. Every 10K/Yearly interval it states: "Request the dealer to inspect the fluid deterioration data using a CONSULT. If the deterioration data is more than 77000, replace the AT fluid."

I think my fluid change was about $300, half of that being fluid. I wish I had a pump so I could do it myself.

the local dealership quoted me $420.95 for a Manual Transmission Fluid Service. I haven't done that yet and currently at 5,267 miles.
