2025 Zs have started to finally hit dealers this week and it seems Z production could be headed for at least in my opinion some much needed course correction. There is word out of Japan that Z production is being paused (including for US ) for a number of months until late summer thus ending 2025 builds. 2024 was an extra long production year and we did not see the arrival of 2025s in the fall of last year like what is normal schedule in past years. we saw over 7000 North American VINs because of it. So it seems if this info is correct 2025 will be a short model year very similar to what Nissan did with the 2023 GTR. Lower amounts of incoming 2025s could stabilize the market and I had commented in the past this is what the Z needed. 2024 numbers overwhelmed the current demand driving values of both new and used way down. When production picks back up we could see Nissan gearing up for a 2026 and if it went on sale late calendar year 2025 in the US this would get our market back on track with both volume control and model year introduction timeframes. Fingers crossed this could mean the US might even eventually get another current Japan only color a year after just like how it was with the orange

As a prospective buyer, def appreciate this post. If true, would this suggest all available 2025's are already in country (or in route), and that dealers will not be replenished with anything beyond orders already placed/being fulfilled? And that 2025 Z's will likely not be available to build/order online by consumers?

I thought there were ~3k VIN's in 2024? And ~5k in US to date?

So therefore the 2025 Z will be the least production Z, correct?

around 2300 2023's so not sure if it will be lower than that. but certainly much less than 2024s

I saw a Nismo with vin 07038 recently .

Yeah according to this info if true 2025 Z production was from around November to March. So everything for 2025 is on a boat on enroute. Based on the speculating that 2026 production could come early (actually on schedule) around August and we could see 2026 by the Nov-Dec and that could possibly be it for the Z. Last part of again speculation based on some external factors going on

Nissan fell on bad times before. Z production was canceled then revived, in the past. Nissan is still my favorite Japanese car. Hope they can pull through.

My gut is, 2025 could be the last z, yeah, with restructuring. Or if brought back, could be a hybrid/EV, for next gen. Lot culminating, for sure.

I've wanted to buy a new one off lot since selling my 86 300ZX, lot of years ago, and don't want to miss opportunity. Liked the 370, love the Z.

Bummer. I have been saving up for a new MT Sport in Seiran Blue and now I will probably need to search for a used one in the Performance trim. It seems like almost all the ones I find are the Performance trim. The Nissan USA website still shows the only blue color option is Seiran Blue. Is there a list anywhere that would show me totals of production by color and trim level?
