For anyone interested in Nismo Ohlins, be advised that they are strictly JDM and can only be purchased and concurrently installed at the Nismo Omori Factory or Nissan Performance Center in Japan. They will not sell them for export at any price.
Good to know; thanks!

I went with the HKS Hypermaxx R. You can source these from Japanese companies like Nengun.
Do you own a NISMO? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on Ohlins DFV from Z1, but I would entertain HKS HM R's if they're comparable; I can sacrifice NVH if it means getting a car that feels more responsive. I'm also aware that KW makes clubsport coils for our chassis.

Yes, I own a NISMO. The HKS Hypermax-R transformed the handling. They are quite firm, but that's what I wanted to give that super direct steering sharpness. I also upgraded my Z33 with the same Rs, replacing the NISMO S-tune suspension.

Honestly I would never waste my money with anything that's not 3 way, absolutely pointless unless you just wanna lower it for the road, but if you track your car you need a 3 way setup.

That seems a little silly to me. Even MCS makes a full blown Motorsport damper that’s 1 way adjustable. If the weight of the vehicle is known, the motion ratios are known and a suspension frequency target is set, then the spring rates are chosen to hit the desired target, then a set of custom valved dampers can be set properly to control the spring energy and only small fine tuning needs to be done. Unless one is a full blown race car driver that makes his living off of winning races within a professional race team, a lot of times a multiple adjustment damper can easily be set wrong and make a car actually have less grip.
