Yup so my hunch was right the leaked inventory prices made them inline with the automatic no extra cost option unfortunate

confirming my numbers ;)

Just wanted to reiterate NISMOs when ordered by the dealer were required to have floor mat package illuminated kick plates and interior scuff guards added. This means a Black Z NISMO is 67,205 MSRP and any other color will be over 68K MSRP
The Nismo is way to expensive,in Canada it works out to be about 93,000.00 OTD. before any mark ups.99% of people who buy a Z will never track it.I'll stick to my performance that I have on order.

I dunno how Nissan fumbled the ball so hard on this car.
I mean... they are trying. Lots of production issues on a car that is basically a loss leader to generate buzz for a financially struggling company. No R&D money for modern competitive sports car. They have done a valiant effort with 20 year old chassis and existing motor within their models. Spent their $$ on exterior design and it looks great, will satisfy loyal JDM fans. Be a hit a cars and coffees. owners will never see the track but be content to bomb around city streets with Mustangs, civics and Dodge owners.
I wish they had the money to make a serious modern sports car

Mustangs, civics, and dodge? Thats all we get? Acting like its some pathetic little car lol. Didnt all the tests show it only 1.5 to 2 seconds slower than a Supra around tracks just for the Performance model?

That would be awesome if any were tracked !
Just frustrated on the launch and execution. Was hoping for more.

there is a lot of truth in this. I chatted with the lead designer about the Z and he told me it really was a miracle the new Z was able to be greenlit . From what ive gathered its true that so much of the budget for this car went into the design which left them having to just tweak everything else

I think we all are frustrated to an extent, and I do agree there's more to be desired. However, they still came out with a solid product that I think gets a wee bit too much hate at times. The Z is still quite capable.

$3645 more after 2 tone colour and freight/PDE - 4118.85 w/tax. 😡
That's about half the cost of full PPF

I understand all of that, I was the main one preaching that same gospel when the proto was revealed. Price is ultimately what's killing this car IMO. A lot of it's shortcomings would be forgiven if it were the cheaper option. That's why the 350Z sold as well as it did - pricing (and, lack of competition at the time)

35, 40, 45 - Sport, Performance, Nismo - Just 5k over the Z34's pricing.

That's personally my main frustration with this car. It's truly not a 50k+ car, at all, period.

Not in Performance.
Not in Interior.
Not in Chassis.
Not in Features.

There's no reason at all this car costs as much as it does.

Price combined with overall scarcity, definitely. It is far easier to overlook the baked-in issues that the 350 and 370 had because, outside of the top-tilt variants, they were rather inexpensive (I think I paid like $35K new for mine back in 2017) sports cars. It does get harder to justify for folks who aren't specifically Z enthusiasts with the current pricing structure.

Lovely car though, or at least I imagine it is since I have never physically laid eyes on one
