Why?

I don't see an issue with front plate, the only ones that look dumb are the relocated plates flying from the corner of the bumper from a tow hook mount
No problem in CA. Get the 60's plate. Pay a bit annual fee.

I honestly would pay. The only times I got those tickets in Denver Metro was when I was downtown. Guess it's a little different if you live in a central district or park on the street 🤷‍♂️
In Western Australia the fine for obscuring your plates is $1000 it would be even more for not displaying it at all

You get a notice of 24 hours to fix the problem, or get the fine. Have to say.. put in a new headlight bulb, then show an officer at the shop, then they scrap the ticket
Here in the states, they call it a 'fix-it' ticket. You have a set period of time (depends on the jurisdiction) to correct the issue. After that, you can be fined.

The list of what qualifies as being eligible for a fix-it ticket also varies by jurisdiction, so a front plate violation might not be eligible.
