Yeah, I was and remain shocked at the 370's overheating issues. It's not an "all the time" problem but for a modern free-breathing engine like the 3.7 it's rather confusing. I'm glad that nobody has yet identified such an issue with the new Z's setup, that's very encouraging.
Yeah, this is getting to be a "punching down" situation. Let's workshop:
"When Nissan finally rolled out its new Z, they discovered that the engineers had taken things a bit too literally."
"As it happens, the new Z evidently has better launch traction when parked."
Nissan: "Nothing can stop...
This is a very good point, and I think you're on to something. The launch has been messy, to be sure, (we can all certainly agree to that) but there would have been much greater potential for damage control on Nissan's behalf had the time between reviews being made public and actual Zs hitting...
For the price point that the next NISMO is likely to reach, yeah, I'd like to think that it will be a pretty aggressive package, overall. Having said that, NISMO variants are typically somewhat conservative, particularly from an added-power perspective. They generally focus more on aero/track...
I think Nissan might do just that - something like the Version S available in Japan but with a few key upgrades to address the concerns they've surely been seeing from the auto journalists. Call it "Track," price it under $48k, and it should be a hit. You're totally right that they painted...
I know what you're trying to say, here, but the Z is absolutely a sports car. Just definitionally, it falls into that category (unless we want to be extremely pedantic and claim that only roadsters are actually "sports cars" by traditional standards).
I think what you and others are...
Oh, I'll join you in that minority! I've long said that I prefer this wheel design - if it were staggered and available as a 19" set, I'd easily take it over the Rays design.
More photos because it's just such a unique (and stunning) thing.

We've all seen this, yeah?
This is completely brilliant, IMO. I wish tech like this would bleed down into more conventional sports cars in the future.
Exactly, there are absolutely different ways to measure a vehicle's enjoyment factor, that's pretty subjective. I think that this specific critic was stepping outside of the more numerical/objective analysis and offering a perspective along different lines. It's kind of a shock to the system...
Yeah, just listening to them out on the streets, there's an almost comical level of aggressiveness in the Supra's sound. The critic in question must be talking about something else or just isn't impressed by that element (or the wild acceleration offered).
Color me shocked by this. Pleasantly so, to be sure, but this has to be the first of the large publications to be so charmed by the Z as to rank it above the Supra in a head-to-head. ?
*Note: the photography here really highlights the color disparity between the two yellows on offer - the...
Looks like the stock chin spoiler from the factory aero package. Since it's standard on the Performance trim, it's actually stranger that the vehicle on the left has it deleted.
I've always associated "Macca" with someone referring to McLaren Automotive. I feel like maybe an Irish friend of mine used it at some point. Yay, regional colloquialisms!
Nissan, thou hast forsaken me!
Between this affront and Nissan withholding the "Version S" trim (though I'd get it with the 9-speed, which I don't think is being offered, currently), there's only so much a person can take ?
