I hate to say it, but don’t trust a lot of dealers. I’ve had services done and when I got home checked oil and other fluids and they were too high or low. Here’s another example took my Z to get a service including a tire rotation. I drove to my son’s house and he told me something was off we...
To each their own, some owners think they know more than the manufacturers who designed and built it. I guess some of the reactions were because you looked at the door jamb sticker and still wasn’t satisfied with the obvious answer.
Yep, there is no doubt I would have purchased a NISMO if it came with a manual. Sadly that ship has sailed for me. Most likely whatever it will cost to get into I could (and will) upgrade my Performance for a lot less money.
The vast majority of the time Carvana offers more than anyone (dealers) else period. An example of this they’re offering about $4K more for my XC 60 than KBB value. Unfortunately for them it’s paid for and not going anywhere!
If actually true I’m glad they’re doing it should have offered it from the start. That being said I have to see how many people dump their current Z for the NISMO manual. It seems to me a lot of these folks are most likely the same ones who chose an automatic or a manual Z the first place. I...
I truly don’t care what someone else drives, manual, auto etc.. The most important thing is that you’re happy with it. I don’t think the auto is trash and don’t think many if any in this thread has said that. What many have said it’s better to trade in his car than try to retrofit a new manual...
Nothin worse than fake shifting automatics. Shift paddles with a dual clutch I understand. Faster by what less than a quarter second, but not more enjoyable to drive. In the end to each their own.
I don’t have an attitude at all, you posted a question and the vast majority of the answers were it’s not worth it. Your reply was my friend did it with his 370 and it was pretty easy. It’s your car so do what you want. Now if you do it I hope you post the results here, because I’m willing to...
Good you have a great source of information to help you do the swap. I never understood why folks come on forums like this asking for advice and then do exactly what they intended to do in the first place? In the end you’re making the note so do to it whatever you like, because you have to drive it!
Sadly I’ve been in similar situations like you. Purchased a car off the lot instead of getting it built the way I wanted too inpatient. After a while started to dislike it so I traded it and took my lumps. I learned a valuable lesson get what you want don’t skimp on options, because of price...
I truly believe automatic/dual clutch have come a long way. My son has a DSG in his Golf R and it performs outstandingly and there’s no doubt outperforms the manual. I’m just a manual guy and that’s what attracted me to the Z. Like I stated earlier Nissan dropped the ball by not offering a...
The fact that you would attempt to equate NISMO Z auto to a Porsche PDK says it all. In the end drive what you love to drive, because you have to pay for it. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind on what they like. I wouldn’t buy a Porsche without a manual and as a former BMW guy can’t stand...
I could never sell or would trade my manual for an automatic period. A lot of folks have to talk themselves into liking it for whatever reasons. Nissan truly dropped the ball when They didn’t have a manual option in the NISMO.
