Hey folks, long time lurker, first time poster. I bought my new Seiran Blue 9AT Z about a month ago to replace my 2017 2.3L Mustang.

I've been loving the car so far and put about 2500 miles on her between daily driving and a road trip back to NY. While the Mustangs are super common, especially here in VA, the Z is pretty unique and I've had a lot of great interactions with people about it.

At some point I think I'll write up a short review from my sports car novice viewpoint, maybe after I get to the track to compare my experience with the Mustang.

For now here she is, along with the little Z my wife got for me:

Long time lurker here. I took delivery today, so I'm officially joining the family!

Congrats! Was it a local purchase or shipped from across the states? I'm considering options, pay to ship or road trip, depending on how far. Road tripping would be awesome, preferred, but time limits might now work out. If transporting, wonder how careful they prep it, I suppose depends on recommended shippers.

I bought from Tennessee, shipped to Washington. It was the cheapest new yellow Performance MT I could find in the country at the time. I paid $48,935 before TTL, which was substantially less than any WA dealer was willing to offer me for the same spec. My nearest dealer even said their incoming yellow Performance AT will have a $2,000 ADM, so $1,000 shipping cost was worth it in my case. I don't think that amount would've covered my airfare, fuel, and accommodations driving from TN to WA (2,400 miles).

The shipper just loads and unloads the car into their trailer as-is. Your dealer may be accommodating to ship-prep requests, like masking the frontal portions of the car, etc. You can also opt for enclosed shipping for 30% to 60% higher cost. My car was delivered directly to my wrap guy for PPF with no prep and arrived safe and sound.

Welcome to the growing WA group.
Thank you! I've only seen one other Z on the streets here and only one time. Hope to catch some more of you in the wild!

Awesome, thx for the details! That's a great deal overall and a good shipper. So far yep, shippers quoted around $1K from what I've seen so far across most of the state, so road tripping would be more costly. I see dealers offering shipping also, I wonder if those chosen by dealers are reputable.

OTOH I've never driven across the US so can see the fun of driving it back as part of break-in miles.

Dealer shippers can be hit-or-miss. Sometimes they're a lot more expensive. Apparently it's bad for the engine to sit at one RPM for a long time during break in, so that could make the trip back more tedious if there aren't many fun roads along the way.

Yep, if road-tripping definitely will be vacation days and sightsees, not just point-point hwy driving. Look for local winding roads along the way, and fav eateries too!!

Greeting everyone,
I'm Sgt Beavis. You may know me from JLWranglerForums where I'm known as Sgt Beavis. Or RivianForums as Sgt Beavis. Then there are my post legendary posts on F150LightningForum where I'm known as Sgt Beavis. Or, of course, you can always find me at the Bronco6G forum where I'm known as Sgt Beavis.

Anyways, I'm shopping for a 3rd car. A toy to fill the 3rd bay of my garage. Right now the Z is near the top of my list. Some dealers in the Denver area are currently offering $4K off MSRP, but I'm still shopping around. I may pull the trigger in December.

Nice to meet all of you. I'll be seein' you around.
