On top of that the road also has to be perfectly paved…

It’s just not practical, the car feels like it’s strictly for show. Beautiful exterior Forsure.

Not true! :p (Currently on our way from KC to N. California via USHighway 50. Stopped off at the National Tall Grass Prairie Preserve in Kansas. Short dirt road to one of the viewpoints. )

I agree not true

in colorado with my rosewood performance manual and drove it back from dealer in the rain in april. I had read all the negative comments on the tires and initially thought a quick change to the continental extreme contacts we have on our saturn redline would be needed. however at 1300 miles I think the tires work fine. took adult kids for quick rides yesterday for father’s day and all said it was smooth quiet and when i gave it the go juice and with traction still on got a little chirp with the tires through 3rd gear! totally controllable and fun. we have left over sand from snow season and roads not perfect either!

Interesting stats on the sale and markups of the Z for sure. I have had my proto Z since Sept 8th 2022. I live in central Indiana and have yet to see another one in the Wild. Kinda funny how few people know what this car is. If you are not driving a large Ford/GM truck or SUV you are and oddball:) totally opposite of the Tesla craze on the coast! I have 2k miles on mine and it’s a keeper for sure. Must say it will spend alot of time tucked in the Garage. But that’s okay as it will keep the miles down. Very Sexy car tho!! Compare it to the C8 styling??

Call me an attention seeking douche but I enjoy owning a unicorn. Just yesterday I had a new WRX pacing me on the highway staring at the car, the driver behind me at the offramp stop light whipped out their phone and was taking pictures, and a few hours after I got home some guy was peeking over my driveway fence muttering to himself "Holy shit is that the NEW Z?!"

I am up to 1700 miles since I acquired it 3 weeks ago, and haven't seen another one yet while travelling major highways here in the northeast.
First time road tripping the Z with my wife to the Canadian GP in Montreal approx 1300km round trip. My wife was super impressed how comfortable the seats were and how smooth the ride was. My car was parked in the hotel parking beside a Porsche there was also a Targa (which I loved) a couple of parking spots over people would stop to take pictures of the Z as if the Porsche' weren't even there. For now It is still that unicorn that creates more attention then cars worth twice+ as much.

Some suspension changes perhaps? Ive seen others on social media with modded Z's who arent having those same problems. At least not to the extent you're describing.

Was hoping to get full traction in first gear, especially since summers officially here. I also have Pilot Sport 4s’s.

so the PS4S don’t make much of a difference ??? It’s just inherent to the design that traction will be limited no matter the tire ? I’m about to switch to those tires so I’m very interested in the difference you feel so far…thanks

Stock tires here still, but I swear after we hit 100+ degrees here in Phoenix, I feel like I'm actually slipping MORE often. Probably doesn't help that a lot of highway bridges & turn-ons etc here are all just flat concrete instead of actual asphalt these days..

I currently have the LSD, no difference whatsoever. The Pilot sport 4s are fine once warmed up. However, I’m still not getting traction in 1st gear. Never have, even when the car was stock.

It has something to do with the chassis as others on here already know. It’s very unfortunate, stepping into a beautiful 2023 Nissan Z that can’t handle the stock power.

Test drove a 2021 C8 vette and there was absolutely no comparison. Both cars are RWD, yes the vet has the rear engine. But it also has twice as much horsepower. It handled the power just fine in the winter time with the addition of a couple performance modifications. Traction was great.
