  1. 2024 Nissan Z Nismo vs Nissan Z Performance: Drag and Track Race

Thanks for sharing this vid. My take is the Z, either auto model, sounds like ~1/3rd a GT-R, not just like one. There are similarities, but the R35 is way more angrier and mechanical. Great video, would like to see two automatics compared. I think the difference would be 4.0 vs 3.8 to 60 and 13...
  2. Has anyone replaced the seats?

only with certain cars; S550 = no back pain. R35 = no back pain. Z = back pain. Soft leather = no back pain for me apparently. When I was at the Nissan Heritage Museum a couple other guys were sitting in the Z on display and they were complaining about the seats while the car was stationary. Go...
  3. Has anyone replaced the seats?

I have a Proto spec and the seats make my back hurt like hell. I have a R35 GT-R and those seats feel even better than my old Benz. I am wondering if I can insert R35 seats in a RZ34. Been looking into it. If I can I would buy them and do it. My old 93 300ZX had way better seats. I think the...
  4. Nismo Z vs Mustang Dark Horse vs GR Supra

Good points. How do u think a $130K Supra (custom engine and platform like the R35) would have done in the market ? Both sales-wise and from a critical reception standpoint ? Also, I’m curious to get your thoughts on how your R34 compares to your A90 Supra.
  5. Nismo Z vs Mustang Dark Horse vs GR Supra

Yup, the B58 existed before Toyota made a single phone call. It came out in 2015 and is a closed deck design.
  6. Nismo Z vs Mustang Dark Horse vs GR Supra

Actually, the VR30 engine in the Nissan Z has virtually nothing in common with the VR38 in the Nissan R35 GT-R. The VR38 came out in 2007 and is a closed deck design (used for racing), whereas the VR30 came out in 2015 and is an open deck design. The VR30 uses direct injection whereas the VR38...
  7. Massive recall of approximately 480,000 units of Nissan's new Farilady Z (RZ34)/Note/Aura/Serena/Kix/Citreoen Berlingo, etc.,!

So basically all Zs. No specific serial number range. Guess it’s time to see the dealer again ?
  8. Nismo Z vs Mustang Dark Horse vs GR Supra

Here’s my take: it’s all about how you feel when you drive the car. My S Plaid is ridiculously faster than my R35 but the R is much more enjoyable and engaging to drive and so is the Z. Toyota said they talked to legacy Supra owners and they absolutely demanded an in-line 6. Toyota said they...
  9. Massive recall of approximately 480,000 units of Nissan's new Farilady Z (RZ34)/Note/Aura/Serena/Kix/Citreoen Berlingo, etc.,!

For the RZ-34 specifically, it sounds only like a headlamp sensor sensitivity issue. See translated versions attached. The other issues apply to other Nissan models, as far as I can tell.
  10. Nissan Hyper Force "GTR" Concept

    ? ? ?
  11. Infiniti Vision Qe

Best looking vehicle that Nissan debuted at the TMS today. It doesn’t have the “hyper” design language so it looks sooo much cleaner…I could see this selling fairly well if priced right…
  12. Mazda Iconic SP concept

Clean is the word. Compared to Nissan’s “hyper” design language on the R36 concept, this thing is in a whole different league of beauty. It’s like sex on wheels…
  13. Honda Prelude Concept

I agree. I had a 90, 91 and 97. This looks like none of them. It does bear some very subtle similarity to the 92-96 generation but it looks more like a Civic coupe than that anyway…
  14. Nissan Hyper Force "GTR" Concept

So this thing has 1000kw, which is about 1400 HP. Coming out in 2028. An S Plaid can deliver 1400HP today from its existing motors, they just don’t have dense enough batteries ready to power it, so it’s detuned to 1020HP. In 2028 something tells me that a 1400HP EV sports car won’t be considered...
  15. Oil change?

Dealer @ 2,000 miles. This way they could inspect the car too and see if there’s anything odd. They did a full inspection and gave me a report. No issues, all is like new they said.
  16. Dashboard warning lights normal or acting up

Yah the orange blinking lights on the Z are a bit large…my other car just makes a sound…there’s no lights blaring on the sides…and the GT-R just doesn’t have a lane departure warning system of any sort…lol
  17. Dashboard warning lights normal or acting up

Interesting. I only get the lane departure warning light. Even on fast roads. What you’re seeing appears to be a software glitch rather than an actual mechanical issue is my take. Hope the dealer has a patch resolution.
  18. 100 Octane + 91: Driving Impression in RZ-34

So I’m stuck with 91 octane in California so I decided to try a blend of 100 octane + 91 octane to see if the Z would respond better acceleration-wise. I added 5 gallons of 100 plus about 11 gallons of 91, which probably gets me somewhere in the 94/95 range. The result is the Z is noticeably...
  19. 2024 Z NISMO Reviews

My take is it’s half the price of a GT-R Premium, and about 30% of the price of a GT-R Nismo. Since it delivers ~more than half the performance of a GT-R Premium, it’s price makes sense in the context of Nissan’s sports car lineup…
  20. Z NISMO Technical Slides - Performance Enhancements

Good question—when does it activate ? It’s not clear in the reviews so far. I’m guessing it’s when you’re flooring it and the RPMs cross a certain threshold. I believe in the 997 Turbo S there was an actual overboost button. Btw I noticed the Nissan slides refer to the GT-R engine as the...
