Yea now that I've watched it that was a good showing of how cars are not just numbers on a page.

Very fun watch and actually got me even more excited to find one.

One thing I really appreciate about this Z car is how Nissan have kept it old style without going overboard with complicated electronics and techs- it will be an easier and less expensive to maintain I hope. Even the bonnet is old style, not gas struts which needs replacing.

$8,100 to repair the bonnet poppers.

I have 3 cars in my stable that have gas-charged hood struts, my 2007 and 2014 still working perfectly and my 2003 with 191k miles needed $40 worth of replacement gas struts recently, took 10 minutes to swap.

I'll take that over the bonnet poppers on the new Z.

Still very surprised Nissan elected to include those in the USDM cars considering it’s not required safety equipment here.

Nonetheless, surely an aftermarket delete kit will “pop up” (heh) soon enough!

Probably one of those parts enthusiasts would be happy to have stolen, much like cat converters lol; I mean that’s clearly the universe telling you it’s time for straight pipes right? ?

Not sure I'm following your Hood Struts comparison to Bonnet Poppers? One is to hold hood up when servicing engine, the other is a safety feature during an accident.

Lol damn! Bet you couldn't believe your eyes at first. Now the question is, did they pay 20k over? Thats the harsh reality im seeing everywhere currently.

Still though, cool to see one in the wild.
