Easily the best Part is the exterior design of the Z. It is truly pleasing to the eye from every angle you look at it from. The body and interior fit and finish are Fantastic in my opinion. The ergonomics of the interior are pleasing as well. Very comfortable to drive for me. As a sports car it is GT like for sure. The power and acceleration is indeed linear. My 2 Negatives. 1) The exhaust is to quiet as I prefer more feedback from exhaust noise when up/down shifting and accelerating. 2) There is a slight disconnected/floating feel at initial steering input. This is really hard to explain without being at the wheel. It will interesting to see what other owners think.
Good feedback.

Ideally, they should have included magnetic dampers at this price point, which would enable the driver to firm up the floaty ride a bit if desired. I heard the exhaust on the manual Z is toned down in order to meet the ever annoying drive by noise regulations. Rather than use longer gear ratios they toned down the exhaust. This is an area where they could have used a performance exhaust with valves like other manufactures do. They tune them to open and close at certain speeds to meet regulations and then enthusiasts like us find the fuse and leave open all the time. ;)

It sounds like the small turbos spin up quickly so there is little to no turbo lag, which gives the engine a linear naturally aspirated like power delivery, which is ideal.

You assessment is absolutely correct. I would be nice if there were magnetic dampers and the ride could be changed. At least one Sport Option. Exhaust/muffler change shouldn’t be a hard retrofit.

I noticed in the owner manual it also advised against hard braking during break in.

Interesting, brakes tend to work best when you "bed" them by performing several very hard stops when they're new. That's my protocol for any brake job I do.....
I agree and have been careful to avoid hard breaking so far.

Appreciate you clarifying. I thought for a while there I might need to block you😳🤣🤣
lol I had a 280z and a 350z convertible as well.....Now just waiting to buy a new Z, So I really appreciate your collection. I also had a 1977 Corvette and then replaced it with the 280Z AND THE Z's I have had were far superior to that Corvette. Enjoy the cars.....

No I ended up getting an auto because that us what the dealer had. The auto has a nice note to it. Could be a little deeper but adequate.

Just a note on the Nissan Nismo wheels that are shown in the Brochure. My dealer informed me that the ones available now are from the 370z stock and are 1/2 inch narrower than the Stock 23 Z wheels. So I am waiting for a Nissan update to see if they are manufacturing a newer version for the 23 Z. I am hoping soon. As I would like to see how she drives with a better tire.
Starting with these Continental DWS006 tires.

Just a few thoughts on initial break in. The owners manual says 1200 miles below 4K rpm’s. Dang I’ve already busted that recommendation severals times😳 I understand how important break in can be but 1200 is a lot IMHO. My C8 was programmed below 4500rpm for the first 500 miles. Thoughts on this break in period??

Break in is a joke. Full send it if you want things to seat properly.
