Saw Z first time in person today at NYIAS. Was not disappointed in car, was immensely disappointed with the general public as usual.

P.S. - some lady behind boldly told her husband that the yellow Z on display was the Proto, and that it costs $165,000. It wasn't, and it doesn't. It was just a Proto spec Z. She made that comment with so much reassurance, but with clearly ZERO information to support the garbage that was coming out of her mouth. We trust these people to vote, everyone.

Maybe you under estimate her….maybe it was a ploy to put as many people off around her as possible so she can snag one 🤣

It gets better - she pleaded with the Nissan rep to sell her the blue Z that was on display. When the rep politely explained it wasn't for sale, the lady walked away exclaiming "Well, I guess they don't want my money."

So pricing and driving impressions will be embargoed until after next months event, what? Those are two of the biggest answers people want outside of if Nissan meant spring of 2029 to be on sale, production number, and if they'll address their dealerships from gouging people.

What are you going to talk about then? Plastic feel? Styling? Seat comfort? If there's no pricing, performance, or driving impressions, the vids will in fact be worthless at best.

Anyways. I do enjoy Savage Geese's vids, I actually watched him grow, and can trust Mark and Jack's opinion. Great video production quality as well. Them and Throttle House and to an extent Everyday Driver are the best out there.
The embargo only extends about 2 weeks after the event. Some channels posts walkarounds and stuff like that in the meantime. I won't be posting anything until the embargo'd video most likely.

Yeah I also asked them if I can buy it right there. To my surprise they said no. Go figure.

I’ve been watching your videos for years. You do a great job!

And I really like your Bullit Mustang. I test drove one a few years ago. All I lacked was money and the wife’s approval.😀
Thank you for the support! I really appreciate it!

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say when the embargo lifts (I'll ask), but for those that are anxiously waiting, just wanted to give a little vague reassurance that you won't have to wait too much longer. I can also confirm that the embargo only covers pricing and driving impressions, so everything else will be fair game to post as soon as the media gets to the event. The good news is that we will have pricing to include in our reviews at least.
Great channel and content as always, Matt! I'm really curious when you do report, since you have the Bullitt, a true comparison between it, a muscle car, and the new Z. This, since I'm on a same-year GT PP2 which has enough power and being corner-balanced, a great handling car I currently track.

Can't get accurate impressions on a wet track.

I showed my wife this video, and she asked "do they come in AWD? looks out of control, are YOU going to drive like that?" (she knows I will) haha, fucking wet tracks.
Yeah hopefully the track was dry later for the full review.

Good. I really don't think we need more walk arounds. Most of us know the car inside and out and just want the details I mentioned before that Nissan has been tight lipped on, and of course, driving/track impressions. We don't need another person walking around and "zonking" Nissan for the cheap hard plastics of the center console. Price, performance, when on sale, availability, and will they wrangle in their dealers or let them greedily and immorally take advantage of people during these times.
