^ That "moving vehicles" really needs to be changed to "slow moving vehicles". Motorbikes or cyclists going between lanes of cars that are stopped or crawling along is fine (as long as the rider is careful of wing mirrors!), but when they weave in and out around faster moving traffic is when they become a hazard for themselves and the car drivers.
I always get a bit "spooked" by splitting when I'm in California. Being that I don't live there but frequently go through California, I definitely do my best to give these guys room, even when they're being idiots, because as someone passing through, I don't exactly know what their rights are

In Australia it is permitted, however plenty of bike riders have lost their lives making sudden movements in and out of traffic.
the problem is, especially in slow traffic, a driver can look up and it’s all clear…but a second later a bike rider is speeding down the lane that can be taken out so easily

Does anyone know much about the Lotus Elise…what are they like in terms of reliability and upkeep.
Ive just seen one up for sale…it’s really pretty and only 9000 on the clock for a 8 year old car, it’s in absolute perfect condition

Do you mean "Evora"?

If so, Toyota drivetrain (at least the USA ones) so should be fairly reliable.

Actually no…I meant the Elise ? totally different car, it was built in the UK, and has fairly good reliability score, just wondering if anyone has had any hands on experience

Yeah, self-preservation dictates that one should not exceed the speed in which you can safely out-maneuver (or brake for) a lane-changing car.

Ya they are good cars. The only issue is that some had what they call "cam wiping". It basically takes a lobe off the cam. The AC systems in them suck too. There is a fix but you have to pull the whole dash apart which is not fun.

I'll be out of debt in two years. Luckily by that time we will know what the Z and GR86 are capable of. Last chance to purchase a new Camaro or Challenger is coming. Awd mustang is rumored to be coming too. Can't bring myself to purchase a used car at the moment, but we shall see. To each their own. I look up used cars almost on a daily basis lol.

I plan to purchase another new car in 2024 and have it paid off in 2028 so I can purchase a 3rd new car this decade. Whatever the next two vehicles will be I hope to keep them and pass them on along with what I have now. In the next decade I'll scoop up used cars or along the way.

Thanks for the advice…it’s VERY tempting
