How are you liking the brakes? You did front and rear IIRC.

The 2025 and up I think have bigger brakes than the 2024 and older like mine. I'm used to the Brembos on the S550 Mustangs. I really wish this car had better brakes and the Powerstop kits won't break the bank.
I love them. Well worth the cost, especially at the lower price point. The fit and finish are great and after my little near death experience, the performance is solid too.

And yes, I did full rear and front, especially since the complete set moves to slotted and drilled rotors.

I love mine! It’s easily paid for itself with the 3 brake jobs I’ve done with it.

Did you get the wall hooks too? I love mine but definitely make sure to install them where the jacks are still on the floor and not suspended. That way you just have to lift them a little bit and not a lotta bit.

I did get the bundle with wall hooks. I'll need to get a creeper, too, otherwise I'm still just crawlin' under the Z.

Got my car back with the new gear shifter after the dealership broke the one that came in the car I’m suspicious something is different, though.

When I go to 5th gear, it goes further to the right than it seems like it did before replacement.

I feel like before, when shifting towards 5th, you would hit a wall and could push straight in to 5th. Now, it goes past 5th and you have to adjust to the left to get it into 5th.

I did get the “new” knob installed that I also had on my 370Z. It sits lower without the collar which feels pretty good. Still need to get a few washers to shim it so it’s pointed in the correct direction.

The silver plate in the pic below needs to be adjusted:

Sounds like yours is too far to the right.

It's possible they damaged/bent something trying to remove the OE knob (selector, linkage?). Not that the shift lever is huge, but it would still take A LOT of force to snap it, and if they weren't holding it steady with another wrench and all that force was transferred to the linkage... yeesh...idk...!?!

Image and insight is super helpful, thanks!

They removed it from the car when they wrenched down on it and broke it. I’m sure they worked on it some in the car before then and agree it could be bent. Either way, I’ll calling them back about it.

If they broke the shifter, they would have had to replace the entire shifter assembly:

(Stock on left, Z1 short shifter on right.)

The knob attaches on the threads on the top.
Linkage attaches at the bottom.
The ball sits under the reverse lockout plate I posted earlier.
That tab above the ball is what slides under the lockout plate when you push down on the shifter.

So there’s really nothing to be bent.

That was all replaced. I think they're talking about this internal shift rods and forks in the transmission being possibly bent by force on the shifter, which is possible, but would probably manifest as difficult/notchy/grinding/popping out of gear when shifting.

Correct. I couldn't assemble a gearbox blindfolded, and I'm NOT saying anything internally has been damaged, but I was pointing to possible damage of something the shift lever was attached to or adjacent to.

Still hoping it's @beergeek's mention, that the top plate needs to be shifted.

He stated that the shifter goes too far to the right. The reverse lockout plate is what governs the shifter travel.

I took the car back out for lunch. 1st, 2nd, 6th and reverse gear all work as normal. It's only 5th where the gear shifter is allowed to travel further than where it can engage the gear. Looking at your image, I'm not sure how it's possible for only that gear to be out of alignment. You'd think if 5th is out, 1st or 2nd would be problematic too. Thanks for sharing the video @beergeek, helpful again.
