Remote Start in app

Curious is anyone else has gotten the feature to show up in their app. Seems like it's just on Apple so far.

Would be cool if they added it through an OTA update. From what I hear, it's not actually coded into the car.

Or they're just teasing us since they know many of us want it.

Not here in the Android app, but I also wouldn't expect it for the manual transmission.

One thing I always liked about Nissan is almost all their vehicles have it on the fob if it is capable. They are paywalling it behind the app then?

Ton of people in the FB groups have been saying they have the button on iOS with no one successfully starting their car yet

Must be a bug. I am more than happy to be wrong but I don't think the new Z has remote start from the factory on any model.

Yeah it's supposedly not in the code at all. Maybe if they push an OTA update we might it it, but I'm not hopeful at all. Would be nice on those sub 15° F mornings

Just went out to the garage and tried it. All it does is lock the doors. Could be an app for a future add-on.

Interesting. In the past, remote start requiring locking the doors first so that DOES appear to doing something but it likely hits a missing block of code or functionality to actually start the car.

Probably gonna require a dealership visit. Maybe a feature on the 2027 cars. If we get it on Android, we'll know it's intentional at least.

It's just generic for the app. Available for those Nissan owners whose cars have that capability.
No thanks... I don't want anyone having access to shut my car off. Glad the Z is different.

My guess is that it's a bug. They likely forgot to exclude the remote start option from our Zs since they don't come from the factory with it. I think in theory it could come down as an update, but only EV companies like tesla push substantial updates to their cars.

Yeah mine doesn’t work as well but I’m hoping they fix it down the line!
