Did you need to jack your car up or remove tire to install the hood dampers in order to reach underneath the car?
I jacked mine up slightly to increase the gap to get my hand in but it definitely doesn’t need to be off the ground. No need to remove the tire either.

I got my replacement brackets in today, got them switched out.

Big improvement.

I had zero problems with the Kanjo install. I apparently posted in another thread:

The photos are there as well, the struts are alot better than a hood stick for a $50k car.

Just installed these. Fitment looks great and there was zero cutting needed.

For tools to install the lower attachment point of the struts (above the wheel): I used a 14mm socket, a 12mm socket (standard worked fine, no need for the deep socket the instructions recommend), and a ratchet with a short extension.

The extension (with the 14mm socket inside the wheel well) allowed the ratchet to clear the fender liner when tightening the bottom nut. Might be able to get by without the extension, but it’s kinda tight in there.

You’ll have to jack up the car up a bit higher so you have enough room to maneuver the ratchet and extension inside the wheel well and above the upper wishbone.
