No prob. Let me know.if they turn you down.
If they do, they'll be getting a friendly credit card chargeback filled against them :)

Purchased the rear mud guards. I was always hesitant since I have a black Z but I got them on sale for a total of $150.

I submitted a return claim to Z1, but if you want it that's fine too. I'm sure we could work something out!

I was really excited for it too because I like my two other Z1 braces and they told me it'll clear the AWE.
Fell victim to the ol' z1 fitment issues, huh?

I had a fitment issue with their diff brace. If you have a '3 exhaust, you run the risk of issues with the z1 branded products.

So the AWE resonators were interfering it looks like. My Stillen catback (street) 2.5”has about 1/2-1” clearance after the install, note the temporary locating spacer before all tightened up. Hopefully the Z1 brace will fit, upcoming upgrade.

Maybe Z1 will sell you my open box return at a discount! Let's see what they tell me...maybe I'll just sell it on here for cheap.

The problem is entirely AWE related, the 3.0" piping, their weight, and the location of their resonators.

Yes I’d be interested, let me know either way after you deal with Z1’s return policy, or can pay for your shipping to me direct if that’s best. Glad your OEM now fits again after a bit of massaging.

Looks really good! And I noticed you don't have the total crap factory Bridgestone tires!

Thanks.

My Z came with Yokohama tires. The BMW 330i I traded in for this car had Michelin Pilot Sports, so I was curious what route Nissan went with the base model Z.

When I returned my diff brace to z1, they tried the whole restock fee/pay for shipping. That is until I pointed out they had no mention of fitment issues with '3 exhausts on the item listing.

I received a complete refund. They received an update to their diff brace listing so this it doesn't happen again.

For kicks testing a square setup for track. Fitted Nismo V2 rear (19x10.5 +23 offset) 285 RE71-RS at front, tight fit lowered on Swifts and stock front alignment, needs adjustable UCA and re-align for sure. 275s will fit better IMO as-is. Rear fitment no issue at all.

Z1 said they're going to accept my return, because I have it in writing from them stating it would fit with the AWE, and email me a shipping label. My guess is they'll have an open box one for sale within a few weeks. Not a scratch on it.

How much space did it need? It looks pretty bowed in the pic.
A lot! You'd probably need 2" worth of spacers, at least. After hanging it I didn't even bother trying to thread a single bolt in. Rather, I removed it and went about modifying the stock brace. It's now just sitting in my garage looking good.

I did not force it into place or bend it; the pics of it looking bowed are likely either just the angle or the camera lens.

Wow! I was thinking you could get a small 1/2” aluminum plate and grind/drill solid spacers, but 2”?!?……nah!
