I’d decided I wanted a red Sport AT early last year and they were few and far between anywhere in the States. The reds that were around were primarily Performance and MT. I finally found one up in the DFW area. Not only was it a red Sport AT, the dealer had not added ANY of the usual overpriced dealer add-ons, like many dealers, especially here in the Houston metro. Plus, it was actually marked down and Nissan had a decent loan rate for it, at the time. I got exactly what I’d been looking for and the Z has exceeded my expectations, so far. I was also more interested in getting a comfortable, nice riding GT with some get-up-and go, for a decent price. Absolutely no interest or plans for anything close to a track-type car. Just some zoom, plus being a Z.I was 50:50 on red and black when shopping for mine. Not sure about Sport and Perf, but at that point (‘24 NISMO) there were nine black and only ONE red in Florida (and no red close by in GA and AL). They were wanting more than MSRP and wouldn’t deal.

Last fall I was driving in York Maine where you might see a Ferrari or a 911 GT3 on a given day. All of a sudden there's a black AMG GT coupe pulling up beside me to take a long look at the Z. On the other hand getting attention from EVERY cop you see kinda sucks. Hard to blend in with traffic...When I was getting my Z serviced earlier this, the service guy said he had yet to see a red Z on their lot. Mine’s been the only red one he’s seen. It gets lots of attention there. My car must feel like a rock star.![]()
I don't think I've seen a Sport in person, even at the dealership. I've seen a proto, yellow performance, blue performance and a white performance.27) a Black Diamond Pearl Sport trim spotted in San Francisco 3/24/25. had to cut through an ally to catch up to this one.

I'm happy to hold the record, but I promise you all I'm not on the road 24/7 looking for Z's. I don't drive for a living either - literally only drive 2 or 3 days a week at the moment.
