Running the stock tyres on my nismo Z. I've had spirited fun driving sure, but it's not like I've been carving the mountains flogging the shit out of it.

At 10,800 KM I'm basically on my wear marker on both rear wheels. Coming from my 370z on bridgestone super sports I got 20k and was driving far more aggressive.

Anyone else shredding through tyres on the factory setup? Atleast the wear is in the middle tread lol.

I believe the stock tires across the Sport (me), Perf, and Nismo are all equally worthless.

Just out of curiosity; You mention wear in the MIDDLE. What is your tire PRESSURE? I'm asking because my wear was on the outside edge of the tire. (Yes, I know it is 2 different tires, and 2 very different car models.)

My rear wear in the thread below:

Yeah I did see that thread and was quite intrigued.

10,000 miles is about 14,500km. On my old nismo 370z on bridge potenza sports I got about 20,000km. That would excessively wear on the inner side due to camber. Given the twin turbo torque I'd say 15,000km is probably fair, but down to the wire is unexpected.

I've had 35 PSI all round so far. Granted I've gone through all seasons except summer, so probably has fluxed up and down based on cold weather.

Have you had a wheel alignment yet? Curious to see if it's out of whack

I replaced my dunlops at around 10k miles because I was low on tread in the rears. I had an alignment done at around 7-8k miles.

Agree on the comments about 370Z vs Z. Ran Bridgestone Potenza and then Conti ECS on a 370Z Nismo and got decent milage with both. When I had to change them it was always outside wear, esp on the fronts. I won’t be happy if I can only get 10K miles on my Z. The Dunlop tires mine came with aren’t good street tires anyway… so I won’t miss them. Staggered setup isn’t fun as you can’t rotate tires.

I’m about 14,500 miles on my sport, drove mildly spirited, and had the same tread wear. I think Nissan probably thought we’d change out the tires early so they gave us thin rubber.

Replaced my rears only at ~8K KMS
Front we're about half at that point

Alignment done at ~4500kms

Exactly the same here on my '24 performance mt. I like to drive hard but put some effort into not wearing out those back tires, to no avail. Rears done at the same km's.

Car manufacturers need to stop with the staggered shit. It does nothing but cost us tire rotations and big money.

My rears were bald at 10k US miles and the fronts were low enough to not be worth rotating. Met a guy at a car show with a performance model who didn't even know his rears were getting low until I reached my hand in the fender to show him.

Just under 30k now with Michelin pilot sport 4s and they're still good to go.

.........oh, I forgot, and 6 track days 🏎 :D
(The tire looks like it's delaminating, but it's not. That's OPR (other people's rubber). When they get super sticky on the track, from the heat, the rubber on the track fuses to the tire)
