I always thought my understanding is total sold to “dealers” not consumers, I see the same thing with video games claiming games sold millions, but it’s to the stores for them to sell?

I just got my Z last week after they finally discounted it heavily after sitting in the showroom for a year

I made @MCN1SMO the OP since he has been on the forum more than me and has been doing a great job with keeping us updated.

I have a feeling the days are numbered on this car, at least in this iteration. Maybe I am wrong, but ford sells like 40-50k mustangs per year, which makes it viable for Ford, but how much longer can they make this car for a few thousand sales per year? Limited production is good for us, as it makes the cars rarer, but I would like to see a few more years of this car, so we can get the aftermarket support from various vendors.

IMO aftermarket isn't going to be a huge problem.

Chassis needs?, 370Z's Aftermarket.
Drivetrain needs?, Q60 and 16+ Q50's Aftermarket.

It's a 370Z with a RedSport motor swap and a sexy body kit at the end of the day.

Agreed, but there are some key differences, and it would be nice to have an option of better turbo upgrades, bumpers and diffusers, aero components etc. If they only sell a few thousand, really no value in companies supporting the new Z.

Midnight purple will be 2026 MY, an awesome color! Will also come in your blue interior choice, might as well wait, could be the last days of this ICE Z.

Turbos, tap into the Q scene

Aero - yeah, we're stuck there.

May not be great numbers, but glad to see an upward trend over time.

the rumor is the Z might move to a more build to order strategy here in the US starting later this year when the facelift/ manual Z NISMO is introduced. that could have severe side effects on these quarterly numbers if its true

Yeah, I heard that, please Nissan, don't do it!
If I have to order one, that means my wife will be constantly badgering me to cancel the order.
I'd rather just bring a new Z home impulsively, she's way less dramatic that way.

Come on, you've been lurking in here for years, just get one while there is inventory, lots of incentives and dealer discounts out there. Then report back, done, history, wifey won't complain anymore.
