The issue we have is mostly the tires. Put some nice tread on, and your troubles will go away. You can also fit 275's up front and 285's out back on the stock rims just fine. This will greatly increase stability. If you are after that factory Nismo look though, by all means, go for it.. the extra width will help for sure!

No problem! There are other rims out there that would be arguably better for this task. With the right offset you can get 11" wide rims out back no problem and then your 305's would sit right.. There are 18X12 that will fit as well.

These Nismo wheels from Z1 are I believe the correct offset with a 305 in the rear

Is that on stock nismo or performance wheels? I have a performance but the fronts that are available are 275/40/19 and rears will be 285/35/19. Is this possible to do?

275/40 will be too tall for the front, I have 275/35 and 285/35 on stock Nismo wheels. Its as close to square as I can get sine the wheels are different widths.

I figured 275 35s are good for fronts. Any clearance issues? Can install them on my performance Z?

I have 12mm spacers on all 4 corners and 10mm lower ride height with plenty of room. The Nismo wheels are 10" wide front and 10.5" wide rear. I am unsure how wide the stock Performance wheels are, you would obviously want to match the tire width to the wheel width if you are looking for best performance and feel.

The perfromance wheels are 10 inches rear and 9.5 fronts. Ig ill test fit the size today and see how it goes, but I doubt I can fit the fronts without spacers, ill give it a test fit anyway and see.

Depending on what brand tire you go with 275/285 should fit ok. Just to be clear the spacers were not necessary to fit the tires I just have them for the look.

You should be fine with 275 up front without a problem. I wouldn’t bet my left testicle on it, but I would be willing to bet yours. ?. And yes, you would definitely want 275/35 up front which is stock in the rear. Just a smidge shorter than the stock 255/40. Not sure why Nissan chose these specific sizes. A 285/35-19 is much closer to the hight of the fronts. I feel like Nissan needed the Nismo to put down better numbers so instead of doing it right, they chose to make the non Nismo slippery so it makes the Nismo look good. I will probably end up doing the same thing when it’s time, (275/35 F & 285/35 R). But. If things work out, I will do rims when these tires wear out. Then I think I might go 285/35 Square.
