Curious to what people in this forum would rather do given the choice? To avoid any confusion.. will keep this in US dollars

The Performance Z is the one to get for modding. It will be a good starting point from the factory.

Performance Z & get to modding,

Immediate (February) Phase 1 :
Window Tint (if not already tinted)
JL Audio 10" Sub + AMP,
Wheels & Tires (Deep Lip)

True Coil overs to adjust the stance, remote reservoir adjustable rebound/compression,
Still debating the merits of true coil overs in the rear and may go with adjustable mid link to keep the factory spring in OEM location but with Camber Adjustability.

Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms,
Rear Camber Eccentric Delete Bolts, Adjustable Rear Camber Arms, Adjustable Rear Toe Arms,
Sway bars,
Engine Tune to baseline motor before intake / exhaust mods . . .

Phase 2 (later in Same Year, August):
Free Flowing Air Filters (or C.A.I. if proven better on dyno)
AMS Intercooler,
AMS Down Pipes,
True Dual Exhaust (Motordyne, Borla)
Engine Tune

Probably Sport Z with maybe 3k in mods:
- Add a rear spoiler
- Swap subwoofer for more cargo room
- diy window tint
- LSD at some point (if having driving issues)

Some of the Performance stuff is overkill. How many people legit need the uprated brakes? (It's not like Nissan installed faulty brakes on the Sport.) Or things I actually don't like, such as power seats.

Still giving it some thought, but for me the extra 10k will likely not buy enough usefulness/fun for the cost. The 10k savings, heck I bought my Jeep TJ for $5700. 10k can buy a lot of fun.

Buy Perf Z + $8k in mods and split up over ~2 years
- 1. Accessories (Tint, PPF, Spacers) ~$1500
- 2. Bolt ons (Intake ~$400, LDP + Exhaust - FI - $1900, AMS HE - $800) ~ $3100
- 3. Springs + Sways (~$1000)
- 4. MPS4s or S04 Pole Position ($1500)
- 5. Tune (~$1200)
Done...maybe a set of forged wheels, but not super important..

Still contemplating.. but I think at my age I still want to mod my car

Z + performance trim.. hopefully 20K will be enough to cover all of this?

First year
Tints 32% all around
KW full coil overs,
sway kit,
SPL front and rear camber kit
spacers till I buy actual rims

Second year
WORK, SSR, Volk, not sure 18s or 19s?
Michelin PS4
extended studs
front, rear and side lip kit
maybe different spoiler?

Third year
Start making some jam.. get to 480ish whp on pump gas
exhaust
downpipe
intake
heat exchanger
tune
switch pads and SS brake lines

Forth year
aftermarket head unit something like a 10.5" screen
get some decent speakers and sub

Fifth year
enjoy the car

Sixth year
Trade the car in for a NISMO.

On the same page as y’all, but will start with the sport:

Wheels/Tires
Springs or coil overs
Brake kit
Intake/down pipes/exhaust
Tune
LSD eventually?

Could possibly keep that under 10k.

Do 3 and 4 first...
Yea 4 would be nice to do, but don't wanna waste the s007 by replacing them so quick. I'd probably do a combo of #1, exhaust from #2 and springs and sways in first year. The car will live mainly on streets a fee track days at VIR

Going to start with tint, alarm system, PPF. Get a feel for the car, and love life. Then work to exhaust/ full downpipes and a tune. Look into springs or full coilovers. Start shopping around for intakes and BOV's, (depending on how the new re-circ system works) Wait a bit for some more development to come out, and see what the market brings

Almost forgot about that.. absolutely PPF and ceramic coating will be the the very first and most important thing I do as soon as it leaves the dealership. If this new Z has paint anything like my old 370Z.. it easily gets swirl marks and stone chips. Hopefully Nissan paint has better quality these days.

I think a lot of you are under estimating what $10k gets you these days, at least for decent quality stuff.

$2000 - Wheels
$1600 - Tires
$3000 - Coilovers
$1500 - Suspension parts to get more adjustments/clearance for wider wheels
$600 - sway bars

Thats $8700 already and you havent even touched the brakes or added any more power with supporting parts, let alone aero stuff. For those that want PPF on the whole car, add in at least $5k there. I think $20k is a more realistic number for those that want to take a base model to track worthy level. Of course you can always go with China parts and cut the cost in half but that risk is on yourself.
