You talking about the P&S Iron Buster Wheel and Paint decon? That's not cost effective and you dont need to use Iron Remover on every wash

After switching to Adams, its been better for me. Especially on my Fiancé's RX350 that she drives daily. P&S Brake Buster isnt as effective to get the brake dust off compared to Adams

This is what I use. Noticed it’s for “black” rims. It’s for all coated rims that aren’t old school Cragars and the like. For uncoated use “aluminum” version.

Just spray this on the wheels and tires before you start washing and use a new rag when you get to the rims. On these cars, I’d use one MF towel to wash the hood and finish the front, down the side and half the top, back hatch and rear, other side and half top, 2nd pass on areas from front into the doors because they tend to be crappier, rims. 6 microfiber towels used and disposed.

it’s possible this replaced the hot rims.

Gotcha. Looks like P&S only has 2 wheel cleaners on their website, and that is Brake Buster and Iron Buster.

I used to like it and does great work for maintenance washes

You throw away your Microfiber towels after 1 use? Not sure if you knew this. You can throw them in a washing machine and use detergent with no fragrence or bleach? Just separate them from the towels you use for the paint and for the wheels

I washed them for many years. It’s a price point thing. I can get 100 for $.24 each. That’s $1.50. It’s worth $1.50 in time and utilities to toss them and know they are always clean. I would consider it wasteful if I used more than 25 or so a year, or about $8 a year. I only hand wash 2-4 times a year.

I wash mine. I rinse it with water, foam it with a cheap foam gun from amazon, and whatever high foaming carwash I impulsively bought. I use the two bucket method and change out microfiber wash rags a few times in the process. Rinse, blow the car off with an electric blower, then wipe dry with a chamois. I do a coat of C2V3 (ceramic detail polish) every month or two. I wash the wheels with a wheel woolie and the car wash soap, and will use Spray Nine if they are really dirty. I clean the tires with leather cleaner and microfiber rag, it produces the best clean natural rubber look. I am not a fan of shiny tires.

Depends on how I'm feeling/how much time i want to spend on it. I have 2 methods.

The longer method -

1. Foam canon, let sit a couple minutes
2. Wash off the foam
3. Foam canon, let sit a couple minutes
4. Wash off the foam
5. 2 Bucket method Hand wash
6. Dry with microfiber towel

The short method -

1. Wash car down with water
2. 2 Bucket method hand wash
3. Dry with microfiber towel

A power washer is used in the longer method which increases time while the short method is a garden wand with shower option.

Also, recently became a fan of using the 'mist' function on a garden wand before drying. Seems to help with any puddled groups of water and leads to less water on your microfiber towel.

I had the entire car ceramic coated. I use a cheap ass spray bottle with filtered water and a microfiber cloth to wipe it down. I bought lifetime ceramic coating maintenance, so every 3 months I take to the installer and they go over the entire car.

They may have some work to do this visit since I got rid of the 007s for SRS+ tires. The wheels may need some touch up.

I do mine in 15 minutes, foam, rinse, soap, rinse, then rinse again with reverse osmosis and D.i water.
I'Il contact wash every 5 or 6 washes if needed but otherwise the 15 minute wash is completely touch free. 1.5 years later and not one swirl mark, even on th black roof.

Anyone NOT hand washing these cars is a planet out of orbit. If you care about your vehicle you'd never take it somewhere. Like ever.

The Z I just picked up sat in the showroom, which I thought was a good thing...nah. When I got the car home and in the garage under some LED overhead lights...wow. Guess I shouldn't be shocked. I need to get this thing cleaned up before the PPF goes on in a week. I came from a RAM pickup, so I'm pretty excited how easy/quick this thing will be to clean.

Normal method:

• I have the Active 2.0 pressure washer and Kobra Jet hose mounted on Active's new Hose Reel setup. I use an M2M Hydro PF22 foam cannon (and SGS 28 spray gun) to apply Gyeon Q2M Snow foam as a pre-wash. Let that sit for a few, then spray it off. Then use a 2 bucket method. Wash bucket is filled with Pinnacle Body Wash Shampoo. I use MF and/or Chenille mitts for the contact wash.
• I clean wheels/tires with a 1:1 mix of water to cleaner ratio (pretty wasteful actually ) using P&S brake buster.
• Spray the wet car with Adam's Graphene Detail spray as I dry with a MF towel

For this first wash, I'll probably use Adam's Strip Wash instead of the Pinnacle. Throw in some Iron Remover and clay bar it.

For the polish, I plan to use Meguiar's M105/M205 combo on the hood/roof and probably just 205 on the rest of the car. Applied with a PC 7424 and lake country pads. The dealership did me the favor of polishing part of the hood and left some marring behind . Noticed a few other swirls and light scratches...everywhere.

Need to figure out what ceramic product I'll put on top after the PPF goes on. Last vehicle I did was Adam's graphene coating that I was pretty happy with.

Bit of an Adam's fan, not that I don't think others make good products, but they make it easy to order and their products work reasonably well for a daily driver.

I use Collinite Fleetwax (marine & aeronautical) on all my cars. 2 coats lasts a solid year on my garage kept car. The stuff is literally made for boats and airplanes, so it does exceedingly well on cars caught out in the rain. No water spots.

On the wheels, I use Chemical Guys Hydro Spin ceramic wheel coating. Makes cleaning brake dust easy.

As for washing, I've got a power washer in the garage and a foam cannon. Spray on, agitate with a microfiber mop, spray off.


Spray down with Beadmaker as a drying agent and buff off dry.
