I just put the Pilot 4S's on 18" wheels with 40 profile front and rear. I tried to break traction on a long curve and it wouldn't break. I didn't push it any further because, well, it's a public road 🤣.

The ride quality on 40R/18 is so much better IMO than the stock 19" fitment and size. Also went wider than stock. Even in the rain, the car sticks the ground. Also since I'm the paranoid type, having true coilovers in the rear with more tire meat to absorb shocks from the road helps.

I'm going back to the track next week (after a whole year of waiting and upgrades). Should be fun. I will also get winter or all-seasons for the stock 19" wheels.

Is there anything Pilot Sport 4Ss can't do?

Seriously, though. It was so easy to lose control with the OEM tires. The PS4S inspire so much confidence.

I'd imagine the potenzas would be good for drifting if you fully disabled VDC and TCS.

Finally got some time today to remove the adhesive tape residue from the old wheel weights only to notice some careless tech gouged the wheel removing the old weights. 😑

Happens every time if you don’t tell the manager “break it, buy it.” Dude makes $10/hr, is hung over, waiting to eat Cheetohs Mt Dew and a gas station burrito, how much time he can waste in the bathroom as his next big accomplishment in life. Assume the worst and don’t let it happen.
