had a chance to pick up a decent jdm z32 a few years back for $5k...i didn't get it because it was 2x2 and auto.

kick myself when i think about it...
That's me with the NSX. Back in 2011 I had a chance to get a red one with a rebuilt title for only $12k. I passed because the cheapo within me thought the prices were going to keep trending downwards.

Z32, not only because I own the Twin Turbo one, but because in the mid 90s I was a teenager and I couldn't afford one and one day I promised to myself that I will reward myself by getting a Z32 Twin Turbo.

I was a teenager in the 90's as well and had a 240SX S13. I couldn't afford a Z32 either back then, but I'm glad to see that one of us rewarded themselves ??

… I enjoy driving this 2006 350z roadster on weekend … top down and when the weather is cool … simply smooth styling …

wow....that would have been a steal. best i found and passed on was 17k but it had front end damage.

i waited thinking the jdm cars would bring down the prices down, but just like with the supras both climbed in price rapidly until there are no deals to be had...

Does anyone know why the Z33 had such a long wheelbase? Was Nissan toying around with the idea for a backseat option?

Back on topic, Z32 gets my vote! ?

I voted “all of the above” which is mostly true, although there are a few standouts to me.

The original of course is very special, although at the time I was too young to really appreciate it.

When I was in college my dad got a used Z32. I would get to drive it when I was home on vacation. That car is also a classic IMO.

When the 350Z came out I was in love. I like the sleek, elegant styling and clean lines. I pre-ordered a 2003 and droveit until maybe 2017 when I sold it to a friend after putting over 200,000 miles and probably 40 track days on the car. It still ran flawlessly. I really miss that car.

The 370Z was always a little too round and busy for me, and the interior didn’t work for me either. Never was a huge fan of that one, but I appreciate Nissan for keeping the car alive.

I really like this new Z, and am really considering getting one. I like the size and the styling, the interior looks familiar (I still see lots of 350z components, which is fine with me) but with great modern features and a very clean layout.

Hopefully it does very well.

Well, the S30 is a true classic, and looks classic.

However, for me, the Z32 defies time. It's like seeing a 1st Gen NSX... despite the Z32 being released over 30 years ago....it doesn't look like an old car. I swear if the car had never been released in the late 80's, you could release it today and it'd be a hit.

I had a few Z31s back in the day, and they really really look like cars stuck in the 80's they didn't transcend the generations at all.

The S30, of course, because my ID here is the VIN of the 240Z I got on 26 January 1972: HLS30-49788, one of the first fifty thousand in the US. I put down $300 and waited six months. I kept it until I got my 2009 GT-R [$5000 and five months], now coming up on 50,000 miles.
