I don't have a Z yet, but I have a trail dash in my Jeep, and my temperatures will fluctuate quite a lot. Usually driving around it bounces from like 197°F on the high end, down to around 184°F every time the thermostat opens. If I'm parked idling somewhere in a drive thru or something seeing...
70k is still too much. Substantially too much. They're cool cars, and I get that this is a limited launch only edition, but people either have way too much money or not nearly enough sense.
I'm not willing to pay over msrp for ANY vehicle. I won't be in a position to buy one of these for a couple more years probably, but if the dealers don't calm down I'm not afraid to cross shop with C7 corvettes for my midlife crisis.
You can make a dyno say whatever you want it to say. These numbers don't mean a lot unless it's as a baseline for that same car on that same dyno with the same correction factors after doing any kind of upgrades.
The only way I would consider getting one without a clutch is if it was a true dual clutch automatic. I don't care that this one is faster than the manual even with a torque converter. Faster isn't what I care about.
I never knew who this guy was until the whole Rob Dahm fiasco, and I can't bring myself to ever give him any views. The guy's whole personality is like nails on a chalkboard.
@Dan_Passe I apologize if you've already answered this somewhere else, but when can we expect the media to get their hands on cars, and when can we expect the embargo to lift so we can get some real hands on reviews?
