in the dealership for my 10K. Noted the flaky volume knob. Apparently they need it all day to mess with that, so I deferred to the next visit. Service advisor said, “it happens on all our vehicles.”

Not able to change diff oil myself right now so they’re doing it. $115, I believe.

$115 isn't bad considering a jug of Redline is $90.

Been sitting here 2 hours. Bout time they got in the air.

‘ Who cares you had a 10:30 appointment? We’ll get to it when we get to it. Have a granola bar.’

Free granola bar aside, I really hate dealerships.

And they wonder why we all call them stealerships…

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? I'm in Cocoa Beach and have been wanting to do this for a while!

Got the Z a Fumoto oil valve and some Evo R carbon fiber door handles. Pics soon! I just did an oil change on a car that had a Fumoto valve and it was absolute heaven.
$5100

I don’t want to badmouth them, but no. These people have no clue. 2+ hours ago I steered clear of a debate when they asked it it was MT or AT. I said something like,

“AT. No manual NISMO until the ‘27s are here.”

the response was “We see manuals.”

“Manual NISMOs?”

“Yeah. From time to time.”

At that point I was done.
I’ve been dealing with them since 2003, as they’re the only Nissan dealer in Tallahassee. Nothings changed for 23 years. I try to minimize the interaction.

This is exactly why I haven't taken my Z to any local Nissan dealers. Their techs are used to working on Sentras and Altimas, not the Z. There are plenty of other reputable places that know what they're doing, charge better prices, and can still keep CarFax up to date (if you care about that kind of thing).

I called my local dealership and ask if they would change my plastic oil pan out when they did my first free oil change. They quoted me $900 for the pan change. Needless to say I did my own first oil change and changed the pan out myself. These dealers are whacked.

Add Gainesville Nissan to your avoid at all costs list. For my first oil change: the tech stalled the car five times (that I could see) reving and dropping the clutch to get the car around the corner into the service center: I was done. When I realized that I was jeopardizing my car's health by letting this fool dealer touch it, I was like "screw this warranty" DP's and tune is back on the menu boyz!

Welp…
I stand by my previous comments.

I’m adopting @KrackaC8‘s stance about the importance logging your anal maintenance … or maintaining your logs anally … idk, something about anal logs.

Anyway, I get home and prepare to file my paperwork, and take a look.
“CUSTOMER REQUESTED BRAKE FLUID CHANGE…”
After all that, and spending $118 on something I neither asked for nor needed, my diff oil still has not been changed.

Wow…

First of all, read all the posts including analog something or other and WOW. My dealer only loads my Z on the alignment rack because the regular lifts don’t go low enough…according to them.
