Cannot beat a rear-wheel-drive sports car. My 13 FRS is still a magical car. Handling is superb.

Again...with all due respect... I disagree,

Yesterday ( Glorious weather) i did a run up over MT Hotham and did the Tawonga Gap over to MT Beauty which is a very very windy stretch with very steep climbs up each side.
Traffic was scarce , so was able to have a very spirited "play".
In this situation NO RWD car would replicate what the AWD GRC did!

Fun factor with a RWD though would have been all smiles though. :)

GR Corolla is a great car. But the steering feel and steering is not comparable to my 13 FRS. 13 FRS has top 10 steering in ANY price or class of car. Look it up or drive one.

I have no doubt if a Z owner went to a GR Corolla forum and talked about how their Z does better than a GR Corolla because of X,Y and Z they would get trashed and pushed out of the forum.

On that note...
I was well aware of the possibility that i could receive some agro from members here, BUT to everyone's credit that didn't happen .

Just a point though .... i didn't start this thread " TOYOTA GR COROLLA vs NISSAN Z" , I just responded with my actual experience with the 2 cars.

Please excuse my ignorance...."13 FRS" what is that? :)
2013 Toyota 86

In the US from 2012 to 2016 it was branded Scion, not Toyota, and the model was "FR-S." Wasn't called a Toyota 86 here until 2017 when Toyota discontinued the Scion brand.

Regardless of whether it's called a Scion or a Toyota, it's a rebranded Subaru. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't know why huge car makers sometimes don't make their own cars (Toyota "Supra"?!?!).

Is that the "GR86" GR86 | RWD Sports Car | Toyota Australia

if so, i actually drove one here .The "GR" mechanic at my local dealership allowed me to drive his own personal car.....
I really did like the GR86 .
Its has ridiculous performance /Value here , as its WAY cheaper than a GRC ...or Z.

Again, this car shows why 0-100kmh ( 0-60mph) is in the real world meaningless! Its a very "Raw" car to drive and that makes it very exciting.... excellent handling and steering .....i loved it. (y)

Yes, exact same.
Here in the US:
2012 to 2016 = Scion FR-S
2017 to 2021 = Toyota 86
2022+ = Toyota GR86

The people here are pretty darn chill compared to a lot of car forums.
I’ve noticed that as well and that’s why the occasional trolls don’t stay very long, people don’t feed them.

Hopefully the "Troll" tag wasn't aimed at me..

Just to stress i am ( and always will be ) a die hard "Z" fan... i took my old classic Z32 out today for a "Fang" on some local mountain roads.
The old girl might not have as much finesse as newer offerings, but it sure as hell is still a pleasure to drive.
The old VG30DETT while not as refined as the VR30DDTT , still packs a wicked punch up top !! ( 500+ WHP) .
Smile factor was a 10 out of 10 .. :D
