This is why I suggest, and use, Llumar AIR80/90 as it's optically clear yet blocks 99% UV along with IR and thermal heat! Best of both worlds. I use it on sunroofs and factory tinted glass too.

Thanks for the product recommendation, I'm getting a new truck at work and I have asked them for clear window tint that blocks UV and IR. They were scratching their head "huh, clear window tint?"

It's an amazing product. I started using it on my C7 in 2014 and every vehicle since.

It's stupid to not get the full windshield done. It's the #1 source of heat entering your car. It saves you gas cause you can run your AC on low and not have to crank it on high all the time . Most of you want even notice 70 to 90% and neither will the cops . The only time you notice it is when you go below 70% and 55% is the sweet spot. If you worried about getting a ticket get an RX from your eye doctor and you can get it as dark as you want .

Are you referring to the Llumar AIR80/90?
I've never heard of windshield tinting. But it sounds absolutely wonderful.

Perhaps you may consider a % tint level that will let you effectively see through the driver’s side window at night. Install a lighter tint (legal compliance...if applicable) instead of matching a darker % on the Pax window (darker tint on the remaining windows.) This may be helpful for those residing in States with laws addressing the degree/percent of tint allowed on windows. when looking from the outside through the driver's window, the darker panels should create an obscuration level from outside the cockpit, as if the driver’s side matched the rest; hence, allowing the driver better visibility (ei using the side rear-view mirror) while driving in challenging visual environments. Also, concerning the windshield...a good quality clear UV filtering film, should maintain a noticeable temp difference, especially if you have cameras, toll pass devices, and or phone cradles hanging from the windshield (suction-cups…etc.) Good luck!
