These are the dream

Nismo GTR seats on one of the final special editions. Upper half is styled like the Podium - i've seen them popping up in some limited edition cars like STI and GR variants.

Price is unimaginable, before figuring out how to fit them.

Here's the "full" Podium

Sadly I don't think i fit in them. Also they're probably $5k+

Has anyone fit the recaro seats from the Note or any other models?
The Juke has the best reclinable Recaros BUT they require custom work to fit. Note Recaors look the same

TBH you will likely be able to get new Recaros for the same or cheaper price than Recaros from another nissan. Dealers and aftermarket are both inflated.

Thanks for the insight! I'm struggling to source the seats in Australia. Dealership won't help without a Nismo vin # so looking aftermarket.

The Nismo Recaros are basically the Recaro Sportster CS with Nismo-specific colors. On the Z specifically, we got screwed. They only use the Recaro top half and a generic bottom half. Despite this, Nissan still demands insane dealership prices.

Just contact your area's Recaro distributor and ask for a quote from them. You'll be able to get specific brackets and mounting hardware from them.

Bear in mind that if you are looking to gain headspace you may want to look at different options (fixed bucket, no slider) but if you already fit no problem, then you can retain a slider.

There are quite a few places offering customization for Recaros as well, so if you have the cash, you can get whatever color or pattern you want

I performed this exact mod on my 370Z Nismo, transplanted Juke Nismo Recaro seats into them (you can kind of see them through the windshield in the picture below) and will attest that it’s a lot more involved than just going the full aftermarket route. The Juke has a taller, more upright seating position so I had to get a whole new base fabricated for the seat in order to make it work/fit on the 370Z. You will also loose the passenger airbag sensor because those are on the seat rails on the Juke and not imbedded in the seat cushion like it is in the Z.

I'm starting to see bolster wear in a spot, and have modified how I get out of to try and slow it down.
Do people make replacement covers for the Sportster CS? Meaning, technically I guess, the upholstery itself, not a cover you'd slide over...like if I pull a seat, take it apart, remove/replace the factory alcantara/pleather, reattaching it to the seat frame over the factory foam.

I'm 6' and if I were a few inches taller, it would be uncomfortable to sit in the car.
I'm 6'5" and I fit nicely in the Nismo buckets. I know this thread is a little older, but to answer the original question... the Nismo Recaros are substantially more bolstered than the Performance. Well, the driver's seat is. The passenger seat has the same seat bottom as the Performance.

I've driven this car on an 800mi road trip and I had no complaints. Granted, the Nismo's harshness is handily defeated by getting rid of those Dunlop Sport Maxx tires and putting on a set of Michelins. It's literally a fairly nice driving car once you ditch those things.

Both the driver and passenger seats have the OEM bottoms, only the seat back is Recaro. Compare them to true Recaro bottoms and the bolstering doesn't even come close.

Regardless, the seat bottom in my Nismo's driver side is different than the seat bottom on the passenger side. They both look similar (same fabric) but the bolstering is much higher and much more rigid. On the driver's side, I have to physically lift my leg over the bolster. On the passenger side, I can directly side exit with no fuss.

This is correct, even on the 370Z 2015 Nismo, driver and passenger have different bottom halves

I loved these seats so much after putting them into my 370Z Nismo I just had to put them into the new Z Nismo as well.
