Hi everyone -

I've been looking at doing my next upgrades and am currently planning on upgrading the following all at once:

Nismo Adjustable Sway Bar Kit
Nismo Front Endlink Set
Nismo Rear Endlink Set

(The vehicle has Nismo Coilovers already)

My questions is - Would it be worth it to go ahead and do the following at the same time, or is this overkill?:

Nismo Front Upper Control Arms
Nismo Rear Traction Arms

My end goal with this vehicle is tracking and the vehicle is currently used for Autocross. It is not a daily. (I do want to stick with Nissan/Nismo part upgrades)

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

How do you like you Nismo coils now? This is similar to what I have planned.

How much of a drop did you do? As of now, I'm shooting for somewhere between .5 and 1.0.

The Nismo coils have been great and have improved the handling for me. In terms of drop, I left it at the stock settings Nismo provides. I imagine it was an inch, but I can't confirm 100%. I had Nissan do the install for me.

Not overkill

Get the FUCA and rear traction arms AND the camber arm as well

I believe Nismo coilovers are divorced type, so you want the mid-link arm as well, and you'll need a 60mm Inner Diameter spring to accomodate that spring hardpoint as well

The reason you want all the parts at once is so you only need to do ONE aligment
Also, all the rearm arms affect each other - like a pyramid. Let your alignment tech have all 3 points of adjustment so they can set the lengths appropriately and get you the camber/toe you want.

Oh, and you need a lockout kit to replace your factory eccentric bolts since you aren't going to need those for adjustment anymore (they can slip)

This will give you complete aligmnent adjustability

You can now fit just about any tire you want.

Most Z-chassis will want square tires. I am on 275 square. I have seen 315 square on the farther end (built motor)

Just a note about installing larger/wider wheels and tires on the Z (or just about any car) is that the inner and outer tie rods in the front were designed to be used with 255/40 tires. The rear axle made for 275/35. Adding more contact to the ground will increase the amount of work needed to turn the wheel and move the car. Just keep this in mind.

Anecdotal only but 370Z track drivers have put 315 in front on the factory tie rods and no breakage
user Hotrodv on instragram if you want to follow up with him

He's doing super sick stuff like installing motorsports ABS on all 4 corners

I guess it matters more for drivetrain🤷. Since I put thicker tires on both my cars, the steering feels stiffer, and on my Murano especially there's a slight loss wheel torque. I can feel the minute resistance from the extra meat.

i mean there's always a weight penalty but the purpose of wider tires is for the added grip
