Anyone else seeing an increase in these?
Not sure about other parts of the world but in the US it's becoming a thing. I think people want to be able to excuse / blame other people for their terrible diving by putting one of these stickers on their car. It is definitely not all student drivers either. They are getting more popular and it is scary that people want an excuse to be a bad driver in my opinion. Driving is a privilege, not a right. If you suck at driving you should not be moving a 2 ton block of metal down the road at 50+ MPH. You should be riding a bike, or a bus or an uber.

Or I am reading too much into it.

I see them frequently in San Diego. Hard to tell if they're legit. If Mom affixes one to the car for junior to learn, Dad's probably not going to remove it for a quick run to the store.

When I was younger you'd see things like this only on driver's ed vehicles, you know the ones with a tense teenager in the driver's seat and a haggard instructor in the passenger seat.

I give these a wide berth, but then I give everyone a wide berth.

I believe it's some sort of trend for quite a few people young and old.

It’s odd to me that so many people lie. I don’t think people even think anymore, “hey, lying about something as stupid as being a student driver in order for me to get behavior that I want through dishonest manipulation is wrong. I’ll pass on that.”

Bunch of loser liars.

Are they really wrong if they drive like they dont know what theyre doing 🤔 Or they should have a sticker, idiot that doesn't know how to drive is behind the wheel. Eh, to long. Student driver is short and sweet

I thought about slapping a sticker on and driving as if I was Jeff Gordon 🤷🏽‍♂️

'Student Driver' stickers common on local tracks here, pun intended, amusing.

Made me think of this..

In the 2000's (you still see it today, rarely though) where people would put the jdm Shoshinsha decal on their cars..I guess they thought it looked cool? Most of them probably had no idea what it meant though, I always found it mildly funny when they were driving around with this on their car thinking it was edgy and it really just meant you were a novice driver.

I'm sure some people used it ironically, but I'd be willing to bet quite a bit did not.

Really?! I have never seen that here on the west coast, that's funny.

Lots of young Honda owners had them Shoshinsha stickers here in Seattle. I almost got one until someone who knew what the stickers meant had me rethink life lol

I like this! Almost like a level for your character in a video game except it's about driving experience. Maybe even base tickets off of that. If you are a level 25 driver and you get a parking ticket it cost you more than a level 2 because you should know better 🤣
