Congratulations on the new ride. Like already stated only you can decide when you need to make the change. Only had my Nismo since February so I'm still in the honeymoon phase. Good luck I have enjoyed many of your posts.

I have my Nismo for about a year and still love it!. I also own the M2 Competiton, and I still love that too! LOL.
Even though they can be considered competitors, I see them as 2 completely different cars.
I can easily say, that if I want to go to the track, the Nismo is the clear choice. But if I only have one car to do it all, or for daily errands, the M2 is the no brainer choice for me

The 9AT driveability issues are the same as my Titan Pro-4x. I also hated the 7AT in my Q60.

Nissan does not take transmission programming seriously since the 5AT. And I doubt they ever will.

Although the 9AT is outright faster than the 6MT, I'm waiting for a 6MT Sport to show up. The rest of the typical modern Nissan stuff doesn't bother me at all.
im new here can i be a goose and ask what driveability issues? i heard the auto was also made by merc?? im deciding between a nissan standard z modded manual (no warranty) or an auto nismo w warranty and add an exhaust only

Congrats! But to me I think the Z is better looking sports car. The BMW has the badge but to me the Z has the looks.

Congrats! Indeed go with what suits you best. Agree with much of your take. Looks wise, the Zee for me - price difference, (especially discount), my Datsun/Nissan ownership history (started back in 1978 with a '72 240z), did I mention looks.

I do very much like the BMW 240 however, with its performance, interior, back seat, AWD option. A real contender.

Enjoy! 💪🤓👍💯
