Since my dealer charged me 230$ to disable the ASE, I will do it myself

ok so
I disconnected a single microphone from
The left side then. What this diagram is saying is that three feed into the noise cancellation aspect correct?
The three microphones should in theory turn off the ANC? It’s funny because I noticed a bass increase, maybe the other two would help.

so the 370 only required one, this requires three?
According to the service manual.

Any of the mics being disconnected and causing a error in the amp will disable ANC

Is this the second connector on the amp?

Looks like the z is using can for speed to the amp that creates the ASE not the speed wire like on the 370z.

Disconnecting the CAN to the amp would disable both ANC and ASE.
No idea what else might happen though.

Thank you, so, I was looking at the wrong connector, the ones that handles the ASE and ANC all together is the small thin one with the connectors 1-15.

I thought by disconnecting the entire plug would work but it does and doesn’t, wires 1-4 provide audio input to the speakers. 5-13, 6-14, 7-15 is the plus and minus terminals of the ANC. In theory if I disconnect the positives it should work right? I’m trying to disconnect one last one but here’s my work so far.

The plot thickens...
Try this, disregard the middle red connector altogether, that’s all squawker wiring, testing it further I disconnected the rear speakers. Everything related to ANC is on the smaller thinner one, remove the white face and use a terminal removal tool because the posts are smaller on these.

So in theory 5,6,7 which is blue, yellow and violet are the positive terminals of the microphones in the left, right and rear cabin. I took all three out just in case. Try that and lmk what happens. Like SRF mentioned if wire is out of the loop it would cancel it. I like to think I heard the difference, considering my music sounded louder than usual but just in case.

Going back to what I said earlier, the red wire disables the rear passenger speaker, it has nothing to do with the ANC/ASE. I left the entire plug out to See what would happen but no music came out of my speakers, plugging it back in and taking out 5-7 worked again. Fingers crossed. I took this apart and plugged it back in testing each wire and I think this setup should work.

Do the Revs sound louder than usual?

When disconnecting the microphones, please test a Bluetooth phone call to confirm those mics aren't related to voice functionality

Just used it on a phone call with no issues, that was the only thing I forgot to test, but luckily someone called me like 5 minutes ago

has anyone else tried this? I want to ensure I’m not the only noticing the difference in audio or cabin noise?!

Not sure why this is such a problem with the dealerships still. Dealership by me just received a new Heritage, I have a 24 Heritage and wanted to compare Looks with color. While there I figured I would schedule for an Oil change, something I would normally do but no time and see a second time on cost of having this toggled off at same time. Well service agent whose clueless goes to manager whose clueless proceeds to call regional (who had a Z) whose still clueless on how and what it effects so service manager refuses to do it. Yes I showed the pic of where and how. So I cancelled my scheduled oil change and drove off. Within 5 min I get a voicemail, apparently they are no longer clueless and in fact it can be done if I’d like to reschedule the Oil change. I will see difference with AWE touring exhaust at least.

And if anybody cares I still prefer the Orange!

Update No charge, but '

Frustrating morning, first i was not scheduled apparently. So they got me in, oil change done but would not use the requested GTR filter because ”it’s still under warranty”. Had it done anyway without due to time constraints, put GTR filter in glove box for when I do it. They still couldn’t figure out how to turn off the ASE/ASC, finally got ASE and then tried to tell me ASC was “Active Skid Control”. So then I steered them in right direction, audio controls and they said it was done.

With AWE touring exhaust pretty much sounds the same, rev matching is toned down at least. Still concerned what else might have gotten turned off though.

I called my local dealer today to see if they were familiar with turning ANC and ASE off. I might as well have been speaking klingon. The service writer kept saying "uhh what?" when I tried to explain what I wanted. Transferred me to the service manager who never picked up after 30 minutes on hold. Fun stuff.

anyone know a dealer in the central florida area who is familiar?

I would say "Isn't it funny how dealers know very little about the cars they sell" but again they just need to sell them and kind of sort of fix them nothing else.

The disconnect between the sales and service department is mind blowing also. Dealers will sell all this add ons and when it’s time to file a claim, have no idea who to contact.

Okay so pins 5,6, and 7 cuts ANC by disconnecting power to the in cabin microphones. Then pins 26 and 27 are the CAN (rpm sender?) which in turn creates a failsafe that shuts off anc and ase, so just easier to disconnect 26 and 27 and activate the fail safe. Pin #’s should be recognized from the back, and not the front. Thank you for the help. I’d hate having to work with a dealership with this.
Yes but give me through today to check all the failsafe's the CANbus could be sending to the AMP.

Update: Can not recommend anyone to pull 26/27 because it disables front collision detection. Everything else works but that is the most important out of them all.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I found the pricing for the one-day subscription.

EDIT: A previous post had shown $35 for a one day subscription. The correct price is $55:

I would not have even guessed you could do that. I was expecting > $1000 to DIY, so I gave up.

I was always a bit curious to play around with these two settings (four combos) to see which I liked most. For a few hundred dollars, and building on your research, it seems easy.

Is this the RLINK you purchased?
Now that website only shows 1 year + ... nothing for 1 day at all. :poop::cry:

I have an account and am logged in, I don't think a link will work. Maybe you need an account to see the one day sub?
