Should I keep stock tires for backup?

As I write this, four new Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires are being installed on my 2024 Performance. I’ll pick the removed stocks up tomorrow with my other car and save them for now.
I’m curious if others keep them for backup. A friend said he used to save them but found he’d never used them and they took up considerable room so he leaves them behind. Is there a market for used stock ones like these? They have under 5000 miles on them. Thoughts?

I still have the OEM front Bridgestones from my '03 Track in my garage. They're were produced 24 years ago, AND I don't even own 18" wheels anymore.

Flip them and get a few bucks while they're still fresh.

same here - i have a set of tires from my 2010 g37 - car is long gone since 2023. id pass them on to someone that can use them…

Thanks, I suspected as much. Incidentally, the difference with the Continental’s is significant. I’m so glad I got them.

They're good for addtl 'jack stands' to add more security when using real jack stands, not that it would help any....or sell to members here that 'love' them.

Sell them, they have an expiration date. Better to get something for them than let them degrade with time.
