Rear Nissan badge delete

Has anyone successfully removed or replaced the rear Nissan badge? I am curious if this is possible as it acts as a rear hatch release.

Obviously you have the pocket for the trunk release, but other than that I haven't seen what it looks like underneath the emblem itself (dimples, protrusions, holes). The panel embossed or raised around the emblem, so you'd see the hamburger outline regardless, and possibly whole thing top to bottom.

Someone needs to design a replacement panel that will hold the camera and trunk release (maybe relocate the release). Based on what I've seen with people messing with the camera, that's not a complicated panel, and not complicated to remove.

I've seen cars in japan that have deleted it, leaving just a black panel with a half circle opening for the trunk.

I haven't been able to find anyone selling a product to do it so they might be custom.

Brian Watford makes a kit with a higher resolution reverse camera. I did it and it makes a huge difference.

I blacked out the nissan badge with plastidip (see profile picture) it’s held up well and looks pretty good IMO.

no, only a button in the center console and then under the nissan badge

I'm kind of wondering why the poster is worried about the Nissan emblem but has that ugly ass Z still stuck on the rear. Make people guess!!!
