The pop-ups suck and it is only in the US ... for zero reason from my research.
$6k damage, may be a low estimate, of course, depends on where you live.

Does anyone know the needed resistance to fool the ECU? I'm just going to chop the connectors off the existing poppers and solder in whatever resistor.

Per @alienpoker post HERE it could be 2 Ohm, 1/2W, but he did ask for someone to meter it to verify. And I don’t know if that was done/posted.

I have some other work to do once Zoe gets unwrapped from her winter blanket. I'll measure the originals. Maybe sooner if there's some days above -10 soon

Hmmm.. That's not ideal. Are you catching a short somewhere?
Gemini is saying 2.2 ohms and around 1 watt

Wouldn’t put money on it, but I’m guessing there’s more then just a straight wired resistor in there.
