Went to the Fort Myers, FL dealer to custom order a 2027 Performance 6sp Z the way I want it built. GM was very happy to make the deal at $800 over dealer's invoice price that I offered, with no mark ups or dealer add ons to jack up the price. Thought I might get some push back on pricing because forums tend to imply this car is going to be tricky to get this year. Slam dunk deal, easy pleasy, just have to wait 8-14 weeks for the car to be built in Japan and show up. 😮😀

awesome. thats a solid price too, there are way less 2027 for sure this year as it has gone to a more build to order method for this year but with that said your individual situation seems to have worked out perfect. the green and the manual nismos are the truly rare ones this year

As far as we know, is this the first build-to-order Z for a forum member? @Rico Suave, what color(s) and options did you select?

Got it. I am sure it’s going to be outstanding looking. Quick question thats off topic. Did you stick with the stock oil weight? I know many owners change over to a 5-30w

I had submitted an order for a 2026 Performance model, but by the time the dealer got around to formalize the official order…. Nissan had closed the order book. As a result, we waited for the 2027 books to open. In late April, the 2027 book opened briefly…. The dealer tried to contact me (I was incommunicado) to confirm the color selection; needless to say, the small window closed on us and the opportunity was missed. Eventually, the order book opened again and the dealer was successful in confirming the order/production book entry. The official order made it into the system in late June. The Z has a tentative delivery date of September 18th.

Note: be cognizant that recently, Nissan is representing the Window Sticker that you may see in the dealer internet inventory as an “UNOFFICIAL COPY” sticker. If you study the format… there is an MSRP figure and in addition on a separate section, a charge for “Manufacturer Installed Options Installed by Manufacturer” it includes Packages in general which add items that bumps the vehicle cost along with the Destination charges. Buyer be aware when confirming the order … get a copy of the purchase order to compare and make sure the separate “Options Installed by the Manufacturer” are not added (unless of course you did request the option…typically, the upcharge for an upgraded paint selection will be listed there). In the Order identify an “Out The Door Price”. Request an Official Window Sticker as soon as available or as it is legally known as the “Monroney Label” before completing the purchase.

For those wanting to get an idea of how the 2027 inventory is shaping-up… go to the official Nissan website and build a trim of interest…. At the end do an inventory search and you will get a listing of all the Z under that trim and you will see that there are a lot of Zs on the way to US dealers (approximate delivery date is listed with each car data). I do not subscribe to the notion that the supply is going to be limited. I did one inventory search for the Nismo and apparently dealers are getting multiple allocations of the Manual Nismo. So, it will be interesting to see how the so call Mark-ups will fare.

Be diligent and Have fun…

Will you share the "Invoice Price"?
Thanks!

Well, since I’m in the market of a manual Nismo myself after selling my 24 performance, I use cargurus as my primary search engine. Looks like there’s plenty coming, and more manual. And I’m sure more to come the following year, don’t get desperate z brothers and sisters.

I just ordered a blue performance with the manual transmission. Dealer only charging me $500 over. Should be here around Jan-Feb. 👍🏼

If you want a green one I would get it now. The color is discontinued and there will be less than 100 for the USA.
