surely anyone in Canada who have ordered have a contract. That contract should list the price, and being a contract should be legally binding.
That’s how it works in Aus
Contracts were not written for anyone with a pre order deposit in Canada because pricing was not known at that time.Pretty hard to write a contract without knowing the price.

That and we had no idea the options the car was available with. Just transmission/colour and interior. Pricing I don't think got released until about 4-5 months later.

There was a black performance to sell in a dealer near me (Province : Québec)
They sold it in about 2 weeks I think, at MSRP price.
Dealer told me that it was a cancellation from a customer, car new.
They just recieved it in January but it was build in April or May 2022

On my side, still thinking about cancelling my order...

But without a contract you are not locked in.
As soon as prices came out our dealers got us all to sign off on new contracts….with pricing

yeah well too bad things dont work like that around here ;) . nissan canada pretty much stole everyone who put 1000 down until further notice, as we arent even in production for any order really

It looks like a lot of the early Aus orders are being manufactured as we speak.
Jan/Feb build for April/May delivery ….allocations are in our dealers computers now which is certainly a step in the right direction

Your guys opened pre orders a couple months after us, hopefully you are not far behind

Guess another month of no updates is next
Thanks for this link.

I've downloaded it a few times. It looks like the next sailing for the US West Coast is on 2/23 from Yokohama, closest port to the Nissan Motor Tochigi Plant.

If I'm reading it correctly, this sailing offloads in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver and Tacoma).

Then the next sailing that might come to Southern California April.

No new Zs on the West Coast for a couple of months?

According to that chart yeah, looks like no new unloadings from these ships in LA/San Diego until April :/

This is still kind of speculation though, we don't know 100% sure that these boats carry any Z's. Could also be just a boat full of Rogues and Mitsubishi SUVs, Some of them are used vehicles. Nissan may also use other ships not listed here too. Just gives us something to clutch onto, and a bit of an idea on some time lines :D

Up here, I think it'll probably take at least 2 weeks to get a car from the west coast to Ontario, so if there was no z's on that Clover Ace, I'll be waiting again probably at least another month (providing these are the only ships carrying our cars) Our cars are transported from rail to the east coast, then distributed via transport truck to dealers, logistical delays are always hitting that part of the shipping too.

Could be a while yet considering I haven't had word on the car yet haha :(

Happy first day of Spring 2023. lmao

Still no updates on the website other than;

" Due to overwhelming demand, we are no longer taking new orders for the 2023 Nissan Z. Look out for future updates on the Nissan Z. "

415 days and waiting.

Checked on the USA website, and the little asterisk says "Late availability, Coming this fall"

My dealer ensure me that we will receive our Z in April...

Wait and see, still don't know yet if I'll cancel my purchase or not
