Question. Does the heating element come in the mirror? I know the stock performance mirrors defrost when its wet and fogged up

When I first installed mine, the driver's side detached, so I added extra adhesive (3M double sided) tape to ensure the mirrors are secure.

Given the amount of tape I've added, I presume the defrost function will no longer work.

My factory mirrors are still in place. The blue mirrors are attached on top of them.

Attaches simply to your car's mirror with auto-adhesive tape.

I'm realizing I never followed up on this post. TL;DR - I really like these and would recommend them.

They attach only with a rectangular adhesive pad. I also lined the edges with 3M auto adhesive and stuck them on. They just stick right on top of your stock mirrors. Visibility is great and the blue matches my car.

Do these contain the same blue light technology as those sunglasses that make you a better fisherman? I’ve been dying to take my NISMO out on Lake Seminole and round up a fine mess of bream, but I don’t want to out-fish and embarrass her. These mirrors may give her a fighting chance.

They reduce light intensity at night and give you a wider field of view. As I said mentioned at the beginning of this thread, the key is to angle the mirrors in a way that avoid distortions. I have my left mirror tilted all the way to the left and it's perfect. This gives me all the visibility without the wide-angle distortions. I've put these in both my Zs.

Yes, I had the same experience. This is why you have to add additional double-sided 3M weather-proof tape. Once you have done that, you will be fine.
