trackratz,

Congrats! Were you ever on the 350z forum back in the days? You look very familiar. I was a long time member back in the days (owned a coupe and later a roadster).

What did you pay OTD if you don't mind me asking? I was at Fontana Nissan this past Saturday. I noticed all the Z on the lot had front license plate mounted. Guess your got removed. Btw, I live in Claremont..

Good luck with the red. It will get lots of attention. I have a modified Soul Red Miata that gets a lot of attention.

TT
Hi TT,

Yes I was on that forum, but owned a G35S manual then. My OTD was just over $54K with tax and license, and that includes Nissan incentive $2,500 when financed. You have to make 3 monthly payments minimum before the rebate kicks in. I intend to make those payments then payoff the loan.

BTW, my Z did not have the front plate on, dealer never installed, still in plastic packaging.

And I know Miata is 'always the answer', also own a 2014 NC PRHT Club, but selling soon. Great cars, controls so light and handles like a gokart, even stock. Total grins! Too bad one car has to go.

Perfect time to own such a beautiful auto. Welcome to Z culture!
Thanks! Always loved the Z culture, and won't leave it. I've owned a total of 4 240Zs in the past and still have this '73 in the garage. 52 years apart, amazing cars and it's ALL Nissan blood.

Impressions after a few road drives and canyon runs, still under 200 mi. I'm sure many of you guys already experienced these since I'm late in the game 😅

- steering wheel rim is still too skinny, I like thicker wheels, personal choice
- surprised the EPS is nicely weighted, near hydraulic in feel, nice!
- suspension is, of course, too soft esp. when sawing the wheel. Swaybars #1 priority, on order soon.
- S007s are yep, too greasy, not good, overwhelmed too easily.
- exhaust is truly too quiet, muted, esp at low revs. Catback soon.
- shift action, although not buttery smooth, is good, nice clicks/detents into gear.
- clutch take-up still too high IMO, as in almost all Nissans I drove in the past. Adjusting my driving.
- interior a bit too boomy at lower speeds and on some road surfaces, that's expected.
- not too excited about gas mileage, of course.
- paint needs paint correction and PPF soon.
- strange but not used to. Oil pressure on drives below 3500 rpm stays around 35 psi, then jumps to around 55-56 when revved above that. Is this normal?
- so glad the clutch slave cylinder is external now, saves headaches when servicing later.
- any of you remove the plastic engine cover? I hate those things, for the sake of looks, and no interest in carbon fiber either.

Haha-you know your MIATA (on my second ND). Never owned the same car that long. Itch for a change. Thanks for sharing the price. Too many people don't want to share their paid price :(.

What was the temporary APR? I am planning to do the same thing (get the $2500 instead of the promo APR).

I want to swing for the Sport Z (Drove both the AT and manual) in white or silver. Something less attention. I can't justify a Performance model without having a garage but the base model can LOL!

Took mine on a 550 mile road trip soon after buying and the gas milage was great.
Is your an AT or manual? AT is more efficient from what I read and by Nissan numbers.

I don't recall reading anywhere that taking the $2500 promo requires you to be tied up with Nissan credit. Maybe I am wrong.

When I bought my Acura RDX, the bastards told me in advance that in order to accept my offer, I would have to finance through Acura for six months. I did that and payoff in a month just to make them happy.

TT
