Moving across the country. Would you drive or ship your Z?

The road hazard argument is odd to me. I see wrecks every day on my way to work and home. I feel there is a bigger risk driving in traffic on the highway at home then I would on the open road.

Driving cross country is the single greatest adventure you can make in a sports car. I drove a Lotus Elise from Memphis to LA and enjoyed it despite being a horrible road trip car.

Driving is the point of a car. Not sitting in a parking lot staring at it while having a cup of coffee.

I'm gonna have to vote for drive it, but also highly recommend you get a full front end PPF before the drive. I've done probably 10 longer distance (1500-2000 mile +) trips in my life and I don't regret a single one. I've had mixed experiences shipping vehicles, and usually only opt to do so when time or other circumstances wouldn't allow for a drive.

While I'm definitely as paranoid (probably more) than most when it comes to damage from road hazards/debris/etc, I've had way worse stuff happen when driving locally than I ever have on a road trip. Might also be a good time to review your auto insurance and adjust your deductible, and add roadside and glass coverage?

Drive & drive it like it was stolen. I recommend watching the movie cannonball run before the trip.

this was when the world was running out of oil and there was a federal law that the highway speed limit was 55mph max.
