I pulled up next to a curb. I unloaded my daughters birthday cake. The curb was straight, so, I backed straight up to then be able to turn in to a parking deck....

CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHH!!! (Vile scraping sound).

F--k!!!!!!!!!!!
F--k!!!!!!!!!!!
F--k!!!!!!!!!!!

There was 2 bricks that stuck out to funnel water from the sidewalk to the street I didn't see.

I feel like I want to throw up. It might make me feel better. I feel like my name is Kayleigh, and I've been driving for 3 whole hours!

SO. I DO want to lower the Z with the swift springs. I'll need new tires soon anyways. If I stay stock rims, I need wheel spacers, and pay a buttload for rotating the tires. Should I just get new rims?

OR,

Does someone sell touch-up paint for the Z Sport rims?

Sell your current ones for a reasonable price since there is damage and get some new forged wheels, a plethora of companies out there. If it were me, it would be a nice excuse for new wheels.

@Mugzilla, I share your pain. However, folks who specialize in fixing curb rash may be able to make it look brand new for not too much $$$. If you were in San Diego, I'd recommend the guy who fixed mine. If you have a detail shop you trust, ask there. They may be able to fix it or give you a good recommendation.

Damn! I know your pain! Everyone’s done it !
Honestly, it’s not terrible. A wheel repair shop should be able to repair that for about $200 sheckles.

$200 for repair. $200 in spacers, more $ than usual for a tire rotation....
Thinking of just getting new rims with the correct offset for the Swift lowering springs....

(But yes, I'll probably stop by a rim shop....)

A powder coater will usually do a rim for about $150 - with that that rash no problem. I say get all rims powder coated - $600 much better than the cost of new rims. Another idea is if you like the performance rims a bunch of people are selling theirs cause they went to new rims - most include the Bridgestones. Just some ideas. If it makes you feel better I've curbed every set of rims I've had. If you drive a lot it will happen. Repairing is really not that painful.

Also, check this seller out on ebay. Has a couple of wrecked Z's - this I think is your rim - bet you can make him an offer also.

I thought spacers were illegal ? Insurance loves them because they can deny your claim immediately. ( modification )

There is no Nissan paint code for these rims, as my Dealer has informed me that they come directly from Ray's to Nissan Japan.
Maybe someone can get to paint code from Ray's.
