It's a little unnerving, isn't it? These seem to carry forward from the Z34 and the Z33. Maybe the RZ34 changed here more than Z1 expected.

Anybody have these on a Z34 with the same hatch fitment issue?
Yup. I reached out to Z1 if they can do a return/refund after the normal 30 days. I mean they look like they fit. I was just scratching my head why I was hearing the rear windshield. I thought it could be something else.

between November and March, you won't want to be messing up the compound on the Michelins...
I've heard this too for summer tire compound being vulnerable to cold. Is it safe to store them in a garage or should I bring them in the house for storage?

I havent had any issues with tires being stored in the garage. Just watch for the manufacturing date stamped on the tire. There is a end of life and I dont remember if its after 5 or 6 yrs that you want to keep an eye on the tire for compound breakdown

Im located in Seattle

I think the issue is FLEXING it. Yeah, if the car's weight is sitting on the tire, that's one thing. But rolling on it, and causing every surface to flex at a temp less than its recommended? That's the big issue.

A big thing regarding tires on a vehicle stored in a garage for extended periods is tire pressure. It's a good thing to check psi occasionally to make sure they're good. Sport compound tires and/or those with lower profiles can have really stiff sidewalls that can mask low pressure. Low pressure can cause the weight of that corner to transition from the full contact patch to only the two strips of the shoulder touching the floor. Not going to destroy it, and ultimately may not damage it, but worth spot checking to minimize the risk of a premature failure.
