Lighter weight slotted rotors, better pads, braided lines, higher performance fluid. And then the sky is the limit if you want to go big.

Any recommended pads that fit existing OEM setup that you know of? Lots of options out there but not sure what other people have done here.

Check out G-lock. I haven’t run them yet but my buddy tried Hawk and then G-lock and loves the G-locks and he runs Scca.

They will fit. The rear spring rate seems a little low if you compare with other companies. With a divorced rear setup usually the rates are the same front to rear or close. Some even higher in the rear due to the rear motion ratio being higher than the front. Even just swift lowering springs are higher. .

I wanted to give everyone an update. This weekend I will be installing a JB4 box and a master cylinder brace. Once this is done I will get the Nismo Street Exhaust and thicker sway bars.

There seems to be a lot of sway bar brands. I was watching the Stillen video and it says to make the front higher than the rear. I would think this would cause understeer. Is the aerodynamics/weight of the Z make it where the front needs to be tighter. Interested to hear other people's thoughts especially those who installed thicker sway bars.

I am looking at the JB4 as well, do you plan to hook up the fuel wires? A few things I have read state that that's usually only used on E85, as it can make the car run a bit lean on 93 and 91. Interested to hear what your plans are with the JB4.

Nothing crazy. I will not be using E85.

My entire mod build is OEM+. Probably will be in Map 1-3. Just trying to get a little more oompf out of the car. Either way, I am happy I live in a state with 93 octane.

Agree, my only power mods I am planning are a Nismo Intake (for sound), and the JB4. I am waiting until hit about 1500 miles before I order the JB4. I am excited to hear about your experience, if you can, make a thread about it, so we can follow your progress.

If you were to take a given car that is perfectly balanced in a given corner with the throttle held constant, and then you added stiffness to the front bar, then the front end would loose grip first from the increased roll stiffness. If you stiffened the rear up, then the rear would loose grip first. So your thinking is correct in a way. But! When you add all of the other dynamics into it, things can get crazy. How hot you come in on a corner entry, how deep into the corner, weather or not you trail brake through, how aggressive you get on the throttle and where you are in the corner when that happens. So. Driving style and how the rest of the car is set up all make a huge difference. What spring rates you use. What the suspension natural frequencies are front and rear… and so on.
hope this helps. The good thing about all of the aftermarket bars is you can adjust front and rear and tune it to your liking. No wrong answer, just different.

So if my suspension is otherwise OEM, do you think this video is a good starting point? The link goes to the part of the video where he talks about this. I am assuming this same principle can be used on other sway bars from different companies.

That video is indeed a good start because tires have a lot to do with suspension configuration.

I have mine set to medium hole in the front and soft in the rear. These settings are still way stiffer than stock.

Do you have Stillen Sway bars? Also, I did upgrade to the Pilot Sport 4s not sure if that makes a difference. Way better tires.
