I'm still torn between the Z vs the Supra. The Z for the better exterior styling or the Supra for that B58 and finally in a manual. Either way.. I know I will regret buying one over the other.
Historically, rag top convertible have pretty bad resale value. It’s likely bc the top doesn’t flow with body line.

I guess a lot of people are viewing the car as:
ZF Auto >6MT - you know…..for those 0-60 numbers SMH.

It’s funny to me when people sh!t all over Teslas and EVs yet…..when given the option of a manual and having a ‘connection’ with the car - they pass……bc autos are faster.
I say the same sht, like why don’t so many of these people love EV’s then since all they care about is going fast in a straight line and nothing else. It’s also funny how they’ll trash manual because of “traffic” but then go on the hype 0-60’s, shift times and big horsepower. Like weren’t y’all just complaining about being in traffic?

How is it that the Supra manual has a godly exhaust from factory and the manual Z sounds like a vacuum cleaner?

One is a sports car and the other is a comfy GT cruiser

If I recall Nissan claimed the reason was something about "emission and noise regulations" with manual cars wouldn't allow them to have a louder exhaust or some BS like that.

I’m an old dude (46) and all my cars I have ever owned have been manual. For me I enjoy driving cars and definitely hate traffic - but not enough to ever give up a manual. Granted if I was getting a SUV or a truck - eh, that would be different.
The one thing my friend tries to impress on me is that huge HP doesn’t equal fun and while one is slower in the MT - it’s more engaging - and….I have to agree. I know my Z is slow - but the main reason why I have it over a Supra - IS bc the Supra is no manual (at least at this point in time).

I've seen a few videos now and I haven't really heard anyone mention it, but the shifts look awkward to me. Like the cabin is a touch too cramped to be rowing through the gears.

I'm really digging the Stratospheric Blue though
