LSD on a SPORT Anyone?

Has anyone installed an LSD on a Sport? Thanks

YES! I found a 20% off coupon and parts.nissanusa.com, and picked the dealership with the lowest price on the Performance 6MT complete rear pumpkin.

I installed the Z1 diff cover on the new LSD pumpkin. The LSD did NOT come with the breather tube installed. Didn't want to bang in a new one, and risk putting shavings inside the LSD pumpkin. So, I installed the breather tube in the Z1 cover, then installed the Z1 cover on the new pumpkin.

A lift, a tranny jack, some Redline fluid, Correct wrenches, and 2 hours later taking my time, and it was done.

Swapped mine back in Feb 25. 1st thing I did. Knocked it out in my garage. Fairly simple.

I've got a few pics in my past posts. It's been awhile since I've jumped on here.

The differentials for the AT and MT are different as they have different final drive ratios. The MT is 3.54 and the AT is 3.13. Typically the description of the diff will tell you if it's for AT or MT.

I'm no Diff Guru, so I'm curious...
Do manufacturers spec MT and AT separately because of the final drive, or are there other differences?

I'm right there with you, bud. I am just a guy with a wrench that asks questions.

I only found out about the ratios when reading through the Nissan literature for the diff. I ended up selling my original diff (100 miles on it or so) to a guy local.

If I had the time, tools and courage, I would have ordered a R-Pro200 LSD and built it myself.

Final drives are different. The Perf also has a plug for diff temp reading.
