I mentioned this in the thread about A pillar paint flake, but I thought I'd surface it in its own thread to see if others have this issue or want to share photos.

As you can see above, the passenger side (US variant, built Dec 2022) Katana is not well aligned (as compared to the driver side, pictured below).

I don't think this will cause any issues with paint flake, it just looks bad.

Next time I take the car in, I'll see if they can do something about it.

Is it a door alignment issue? It almost looks like the upper black is a little askew, too.

The gap between by driver and passenger side is like double. After initially noticed it I'm not really bothered by it as you can only tell if you have knowledge of both sides . Also it doesn't look like something that can be fixed so I'm sort of over it. Not to mention every Z Ive seen has varying degrees of this

The upper black piece above the door is part of the roof and A pillar. It's plastic, and it seems properly aligned with the roof and door. I honestly think the rear half of the Katana is just a little low.

I wish I had never clicked on this thread.

drivers side katana slightly misaligned. thats the right hand side of the vehicle as im in AU. Other side is perfect.

damn it, now I will see it every day
Sorry, @Darkhorse. I didn't mean to spoil your day.

Is it me, or the earlier builds seem
To have less problems than ones build late 2022.

depends as the earlier builds had the bumper issue with the headlight rub. It seems this was pretty isolated.

it seems the gap for the katana is on the right hand no matter what market its from

Yes, not all are perfect but just noticed a trend on people posting issues and they’re Q4 builds.

at least the big recalls like the auto popping out of park and the scynro grind were fairly early. just think we are past 1800 Z for the North American market so will be interesting to see what else pops up and when
